Hello,

The last official [TC] promotional video was released in February 2008 and so we're long overdue a new one. There have been many attempts at a new video over the past few years but we could really do with some help.

Recently there have been a lot of really well produced videos appearing on this forum of in-game footage from our servers. This is why we're opening the challenge to the community.

[TC] members are putting together an InSim prize pot which is currently over € 500,000 and is set to rise. The prize will be given to the person or people who deliver the best promotional video. Please note: This will probably be the largest single prize that has ever been awarded by the team and so we expect the video to be of a high standard.

Competition Details

The submission deadline is Tuesday 30th September at 23:59 GMT+1 (The winners will be announced during that week)

Submissions should be uploaded to YouTube and listed as private. The link to your video should then be sent to the [TC] team leaders. We'll then share it with the rest of the team.

Here are some details about the competition itself.

We would like a promotional video for [TC] CityDriving that meets the following criteria:
  • The video output should be 1080p and should not contain watermarks.
  • The CityDriving logo and website should be clearly displayed at the end of the video. (Logo attached)
  • The current [TC] team members should be shown in the video, either as a list or as something more creative.
  • The creator or creators of the video should be (subtly) credited somewhere in the video.
  • Unless absolutely necessary, do not include any parts of the LFS UI or InSim UI.
  • Chat and names above cars should also not appear in the video.
  • Where possible, use the stock LFS textures and sounds except horns and sirens.
  • Where possible, use high resolution cop skins from one of the official skin packs.
  • You may work individually or as a group. Should you submit the video as a group, the prize will be split evenly between you.
  • Be creative and please approach [TC] members and the community for feedback, replays, skins, help and ideas etc.
  • [TC] members could be available to capture footage upon request so feel free to ask about organising a shoot
