Good morning,

This weekend, our very own Michael "Mikee" Weddell is driving in the British Rental Kart Championship at Formula Fast in Milton Keynes.

The BRKC is an annual event with a top prize of £1,000 and is the official British qualifier for the Kart World Championship. Mikee has competed in the BRKC every year since 2012, finishing 3rd overall in his debut season.

Today he will be driving in 3 heats which consist of a superpole qualifying (1 lap) followed by a 15 minute race.

You can catch Mikee's heats at 10am, 3:30pm and 9pm UTC today.

Keep an eye out for his orange, blue and silver lid, designed by Elmo sporting the [TC-R] visor strip designed by Nick and MW logo designed by myself (such teamwork right?)

In his first 2 heats of the day, Mikee clinched 3rd and 3rd. His final heat of the day starts at 9pm.

Mikee currently sits 23rd with his two 3rd place finishes. The top 6 all have 2 heat wins which just shows you the level of competition here. Mikee's driving again in just over an hour.

After a tough start to his third heat, Mikee has to settle for 5th in his final heat of the day.

After finishing 3rd in his final heat this afternoon, Mikee progressed to Semi-Final 1 where he finished 9th. Sadly that means he doesn't progress to the final but a good effort all the same. Good job M!

Rouben Boutens wins BRKC for the 3rd time. Mikee wins the Kam Ho memorial trophy for finishing 28th overall. Congratulations!
