Hello,

As per the InSim change log, Chuck has recently been working on some quite exciting changes to the warning system. A brand-new extension of this involves the application of intake restrictions to all cars in the server if any of the following thresholds are breached:
  • Several people receive warnings.
  • Several accidents happen in a short space of time.

If your car seems slower than usual, it's because one of the above happened in the last few minutes by one of your fellow cruising buddies.

We are a community, and this innovative change should seek to reinforce that. We should all work together to ensure warnings and accidents are kept to a minimum; that way we can all enjoy restriction-free cruising!

Drive safe!

Frequently Asked Questions:
  • Is this permanent?
Yes, although it is based on a 'timer' function which is increased each time the 'bad driving' exceeds pre-set levels. For example, lots of crashes, lots of !reports of crashing, lots of collisions with movable objects, excessive skidding (e.g. constant drifting / burnouts). When the timer run-out, the restriction ends!
  • When will the timer run-out?
Inevitably this needs a settling-in period, and restrictions are likely to be higher in the first few weeks until everyone begins to take more care on our virtual roads.
  • What, i'm restricted?!
    Possibly, see above post.
  • Why are my revs increasing slowly?
    See above.
  • Why are the restriction %'s different per car?
Because the restriction %'s are changed by the system every so often to reflect which cars are causing the issues.
  • Does drifting cause the timer to increase?
    Yes.
  • Why is this affecting everyone and not the person causing the issues?
Everyone is responsible for everyone. Community spirit.
