The lag is a big annoyance. A couple thousand players on one server is simply too much, also with regards to the amount of idiots you meet, plus there's trucks everywhere in the cities. Also rather unrealistic with no collision zone everywhere in the cities.
This has great potential, but before i can enjoy it properly there would need to be several servers available and/or dedicated/private server possibilities. I really just want to drive with people i know, from this community, avoid all the idiots, etc.
There are also many little things that need to be fixed and improved, but i'm pretty sure they are already working on it, but basically this is very much just in a testing stage and not something enjoyable yet.
Yeah, the lag is annoying but its nothing we can do about it, its because of the server load with loads of people. And the whole city No collision zones are not permanent, they will be removed when they have done some more work with the MP mod.

I agree. The first few times i was on ts with frank and lowrider there were a lot of courteous drivers, hardly had any problems. Seems like that changed quickly when all the kids came on.

1. Get ETS 2 on Steam. The "going east dlc" is optional - it will work online but it's not necessary
2. Set your privacy settings to public, especially inventory
3. Go here : http://alpha.ets2mp.com/
4. Click on sign in through steam - it will add you to the white list and get you to the download page
5. Install it and run the launcher
6. Select a profile and once you enter the road it will connect you. Unless of course the server is down or full. That profile can not have any mods on it.
Additional info:
You use a singleplayer profile and if you don't want to mess that one up, then start a new one. Especially when you are using mods it is highly likely that it will get messed up.
