My dad said back in the day when he and his brother were buying and selling cars for fun, they came across a VW Scirocco with airbags for suspension vs coilovers. I find this hard to believe. Has anyone else ever heard of this blasphemy?!
Well some luxury cars have this, I thought Mercedes S-class has it as well..
Not really heard much about that, more than that trucks and buses have this
I doubt it was stock. There are aftermarket air suspensions for them though.
I pictured a big rig trailer instantly, then I pictured air bags to lower, but airbags to corner seems genius! More pressure, harder compressions stiffer and better handling!
I agree it's aftermarket but would like to find out more! I love old school tuning! ITBs for the win!
Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover.
Most luxury cars and 4x4s...
I believe it was first attempted before World War 2, but I might be wrong.
And then there is the hydropneumatic suspension which Citroën pioneered in the 1950's.
Sort of in the same class as air bags.

And so comfortable it is... Till it breaks, ofcourse.
