What kind of engine you got in there?

Bet you can't even tell I'm inside it can ya? Tongue

If you're asking me(?), it's a stock 2.0 carb engine with ~110bhp. It moves the vehicle.

Also here's the front lip I mentioned in my previous post.

EDIT: Lol
Got the Jetta back. Currently has winter steelies on.

I want to get my full license. Stupid medical reasons..
That would look pretty nice with some full black alloys, inch or two bigger than those steel ones.
Front lip installed. Just got to put the grille and front indicators back on.... But now I need coffee.

Looking good AJ
Don't put the grill on again.. (maybe some light protection inner stuff at most), looks more aggressive like that Biggrin

I'll put it on for now, but I'll probably look for a G-Square type grille later, or DIY one out of a stock grille if I can get my hands on another one.

EDIT: O ya lol did you guys notice that I removed the front light washers too Biggrin
Looks good. Which one of them is the stock one? The bottom one? Tongue

I dunno, both are G-Square "style", I think the one on top is a genuine one and the bottom one is an ebay fake or something. Or the top one could be for a 92-93 model and the bottom one for a 90-91 model... I have no idea, it's just a random pic off the web Tongue Both are the style I'm looking for though.

Just so you know, I haven't got my summer tires on yet. I need to call the place that's storing them.
(sorry for the long post, lol)

A '99 Suzuki FZ50!

A little information:
The model has several nicknames, ‘Youdy’ in Japan when launched in 1978, ‘Suzy’ and ‘Rascal’ in some countries.
It weighed a svelte 59kg allowing it’s 3.2hp engine with 2 speed automatic transmission to punt the machine along quite handily. Some countries like Denmark (30kph max) and the U.K (30mph max) received restricted power models! This was achieved by reducing the inlet tract to 13mm.
The FZ and FS models both ceased production in 1981
What do you guys think?

So...the moped didn't run perfectly.
After a long cruise, i saw that exhaust gas was coming out of between the cylinderhead and the cylinder.

So i suspected the packing(??) to be broken.

This is how it looked:
Whoever put this on, put the wrong packing on. It was too small.

So, i tried to remove the cylinderhead, to get to the packing.
While trying to get the nut off of the pinbolt (??) and the pinbolt broke off because of rust.
The same thing happened with the two top pinbolts and nuts.
The two below were well-oiled because of the leakage of oil coming out of the cylinderhead.

I finally got the cylinderhead off, and this is how it looked after a leaking packing:

Dirty, right?

Then the next task would come, which was getting the cylinder off.

I found out, that the cylinder had either been glued with the engine or it has been sticked with locktite, and the pinbolts wouldn't turn either.

So now i am just waiting for a neighbour to come with a heating apparatus to heat up the cylinder, to expand it, so we can get it off, so i can replace the pinbolts and clean the cylinder.

Here's some more pics of the moped + some pictures of the cylinder.

(there you can see the cylinder [black] and the engine [silver] meeting each other. It has been either glued or been over sprayed with locktite)

Loving the Seat, don't know what I saw in those French cars for all those years.. Haha Smile Nah, seriously, do miss the Peugeots a little, but one is owned by a friend and the other has gone to a good home in Cornwall I believe.

Heres a quick one of the Seat, in the fading light testing out some camera equipment Smile

My brother was complaining he was hearing some strange creaking noise coming from the car before he gave it back, I investigated during my drive with it, turns out it's the strut having some issues while turning.

What can I do to fix this?
Replace the strut mount and bearing.
