The Jetta MKI is about to hide in the garage untill a new engine drops in place
Crille, ask nice and ill give you some picz of it.
Klurax: what did u mean?
Here's some revving I did a few days ago. Can you hear the turbo?
I ran it for 5 minutes prior, no worries.
VIDEO
I read the word turbo, got excited, then realised it was a diesel -.-
So, what's wrong with revving a turbodiesel on a hot day?
I want the 20 seconds I spent watching that back.
Sounds like someone trying to plough a field as fast as they can.
If you guys actually read the YouTube title in the embedded clip before clicking... I thought everyone knew what TDI stood for...
Can I ask what the purpose of that was?
My only thought after seeing that was "yup, it's a TDI."

That's because your Sierra isn't a diesel
No need to be such ignorant only because it's a diesel
The Audi R10...is a Diesel, too.
Yes, but that's like saying an F1 car has a petrol engine so my Clio is a F1 car because it burns petrol.
Diesels are fairly torquey and mapped turbodiesels tend to be weapons, but they aren't very drivable - if anything they're more suited to sitting at certain power settings for long periods, hence why boats, trains, generators and pumps tend to be diesels. Going up through the gears doesn't really suit them as the power demand is constantly changing.
