Bearing in mind both jobs have a high starting investment to make. But this isn't chiselled in stone yet, I need to collect more reliable info on the current incomes. You can help on that if you want.

Ponczek and I did some testing in aston with buses, we would be willing to do same tests with cargo and other bus routes in other maps.

I forgot the numbers but there was a slight difference in driving vs the bus route. The route i did was "ROUTE 2" which takes 4:30 to complete, and he drove for the same amount of time non stop at a constant +5. The difference wasn't that great but the outcome still favored farming EVEN AFTER the +5 limit imposed. IIRC he made ~450 in the same amount of time while the driving and pay income for my route was 398. About a 12% difference in between. I'm sure a prolonged test with bonuses on different tracks and routes would give us a better answer.

As far as cargo goes, there was another thread not too long ago about this where a user highlighted the time he lost delivering cargo and potential income. I suggested that a "retention" pay system like in the real-world trucking industry that would compensate for the time the player idles while the cargo gets loaded, because IRL 99% of the time the driver is hired either by the shipper or receiver of the product and they are the ones responsible for the contract and pay. A good way to compensate this in game would be to take the time it takes to load and pay the driver in the base income of the vehicle they are driving on instances of 5s, for example a XRT (+3 car) being loaded/unloaded for 30 sec (total time 1 min) would yield an extra 36 euros for the load on top of the freight payment.

That is an interesting option...

Test with city van (935kg) one gaming hour
1,276 € total income
754€ driving income
522 € job income

RE: Increased earnings for jobs - Felipe Jardim - 2023-03-08 00:43

Test 1: Driving XF Eletric +5 income for 10km= 532 euros in just about 8 mins.
532/8=66.5 Euro/min

Test 2: Metrobus with 40% restriction doing routes for 10km. 620 euros in about 15 mins (only one route completed at the time of the bonus, and i was also replying to chat msgs so print for bonus is 18mins)
620/15=41.33 Euro/min

66.5*60min=3990 euro
41.33*60min=2480 euro

Both trips were done from scratch (0km) so no fluctuation caused by bonuses.

This is a very rough test. in about 18 mins i would have done two of the routes that would have given me another 175 route income + whatever driving income to complete that route

Assuming i would have made an extra 80 income in driving + 175 euros for that second route i would have made 875 in 18 mins
875/18=48.61 Euro/min
48.61*60=2917

I wont bother with a taxi test because i think the income/pay for that is good like you said. The time lost picking up and dropping off are negligible compared to the fare income. You can essentially farm + taxi at the same time.

That being the best option for a while, and the best case scenario, im +1 to jardim, i had a truck and barely made money, just got the heavier cargos cause RolePlay, and ignore that it didnt pay that much, even using 50% res.

Adding to that, the short routes i had on BL1, which is kinda of a smol map for trucking/cargo delivery, i had only 1 route, from the paddock to the external area of the parking lot.

I dont record the numbers, but 1 hour, not even close to 4grand. So it kinda of payout, but do not, if rented vehicle doesnt cause u gotta do the trip twice, because u cant put cargo extension upgrades on a rental, neither the helpers to cut the time u spent there loading/unloading it.
