This could also open up the idea of maybe an extra backup unit that can only join if they are on bike? Not sure how hard it would be for chuck to implement though. RE: Perks for police motorbikers - K3s - 2023-04-11 17:36 The fast !getup is a great idea I wish its happen ! RE: Perks for police motorbikers - Yasen - 2023-04-11 17:53 logical and good idea, I think it should be put forward RE: Perks for police motorbikers - Ghutra - 2023-04-11 21:14 +1 on faster getups but thats it the rest is a no. You willingly chose to chase a car with a bike, you assume the risk. Joining a boxing match on a bike could be very dangerous as other cops could knock you off easily, same goes for suspect, unless the suspect is already boxed in and just wiggling around helplessly. So i don't see it getting abused though. Point is that bikes are kinda useless in chases so idea is to give them some kind of team play element. In slow chases you can't really do shit and in fast chases you probably won't even keep up with the fast overpowered FZ mods. I know because i struggle to escape those mods on bike. Btw, another great idea for bike cops: If chase is started by a cop on a bike (not sure if insim can tell?) then after suspect failed to stop, biker cop could call backup straight away. Makes sense? I think it does. RE: Perks for police motorbikers - Glenn - 2023-04-12 01:52 +1 , you'll eventually fall on a bike either because of the terrain or quick direction changes from suspect. so being able to keep up would be fun to see RE: Perks for police motorbikers - 7mar - 2023-04-12 11:42 what sheep and vilmos said RE: Perks for police motorbikers - Cam - 2023-04-12 18:08 (2023-04-10 21:10)Hamster Wrote: - 2x faster !getup after falling down (people often drive into motorbikes, PIT them, and sometimes you can't "cleanly" PIT the suspect and you fall down...!getup lasts too long when a motorbike or a car escapes you... every second counts here), When you choose a motorbike, you accept that you may fall down - that is literally the nature of riding a motorbike. The solution is to learn not to fall down in the first place and to avoid contact with other moving objects (including other motorbikes). When do you see IRL police bikes ever making contact? They don't because they don't want to fall off. If you choose a car, you would not have to worry about falling down and losing a chase. Why should motorbikes get a second chance over COPs in a car, just because they've decided to opt for something as light as a feather? It's called bad decision making from the outset. (2023-04-10 21:10)Hamster Wrote: - optionally higher fines for catching the suspect while you are in a motorbike due to the much higher level of difficulty to achieve this (here to be agreed how much higher but rather not much). I don't really see the point. You don't see UF1s getting more money because they've busted an FZ5. (2023-04-10 21:10)Hamster Wrote: All these perks would encourage more people to learn how to drive motorbikes and more and more police motorbikers, which would be a variety and an interesting option for earning. You do not have to become a COP to learn to ride a motorbike well. To reiterate, it's a motorbike. It's less practical, it's less stable and it will fall down easily which will take time to get back up (similarly to car a recovering from a crash/spinning out). If a player is struggling to come to terms with that, then they should choose a car. |
