After a long while of none, I finally got some Thinkpads again. A W520 and a T510. W520 was bought as non-functional for a mere 30£. Turned out the RAM module that was in it wasn't properly connected, and the keyboard (where the power button sits) didn't respond to any presses. So I put in another existing keyboard I had lying around and seated the RAM module properly, and now I've got a 300£ laptop for peanuts Biggrin

The T510 was just 25€, the screen has lines running across it, but nonetheless functional. I plan on using it as spares and selling the parts on their own.

New PC parts arrived today, got it all together and in okay! (Didn't break anything and it was my first time), despite a slight issue with booting from DVD being unavailable due to some odd settings from chillblast I'm still happy with the service, really quick!
Now to just wait and see it Nvidia can get their GPU's working well with DX12, or if I should switch to AMD.

Pre ordered an iPhone 6s Plus Space Grey 16GB

[Image: iphone6p-gray-select-2014?wid=1200&a...1520692732]

Don't need any bigger than 16GB, I dont really have much in terms of content, so it suits me down to the ground, I have never had any more than 16GB in a phone anyway.

Which means I can get rid of my current phone...

Regretted upgrading to that the moment I paid for it.

Yeah 16GB is great, you probably won't even use all of that up.

RE: Something New You've Got... - Cola - 2015-09-12 11:11

Nice phone Ash. You'll love it I'm sure, reviews are great!
I must say, I have the 64GB OnePlus One, but I have used what? 6GB of storage space so far, I will never fill it up. But having that said, it is so nice never having to worry about it! Biggrin

Well , just when you record things in 4k , i think that you will need a bit more of memory.

But yes , its a good moment for change the phone , enjoy it !

RE: Something New You've Got... - Ash - 2015-09-12 14:41

Ive had several iPhones before, just got annoyed with my 4S slowing down so much with iOS8 so I upgraded to the Sony as a sorta 'annoyed moment' lol Tongue

I dont really need all the 4K recording features, and if I do, I am never far from home so it would all just be transferred to my computer every day anyway Smile

You should've got the charger casing for it so you don't have to take it around with you Tongue

RE: Something New You've Got... - Ash - 2015-09-12 18:29

The charging cases don't have anywhere near 22400mAh. Plus the great thing about it not being a case is the fact that when I go on days out with my girlfriend, we can both charge our phones at the same time and not have to worry about compatibility Smile

Plus, I'll just dump it in her handbag, so won't have to worry about carrying it lol

I'm on about getting a portable charger or "power bank" Wink

Any recommendations? Something affordable Smile

RE: Something New You've Got... - Ash - 2015-09-13 07:40

Well Luke that one was £28 + Free Shipping from amazon. Got 3 USB ports at different power outputs, can charge an IPhone about 7 - 8 times Smile only thing is it weighs a little bit, but not noticeable in a backpack Smile

its actually not "that" bad. It can be fun if you throw out the whole "Hardcore simracer" mentality and just have fun.

Also them GT2/3s look damn sexy

RE: Something New You've Got... - Ras - 2015-09-14 16:11

Why would you be? (Pete) It appears to be a great driving sim Smile Love the sounds too.
