nah i failed the quote lol and thats ok Smile im sending back the 125mw already as it broke (i broke it) and asked to upgrade to the 300mw and they said yes Biggrin but got to pay the shipping still and 20 pound extra but meh Tongue

Got myself a new harddrive, 2TB and am currently installing the important stuff Smile
LFS is first to be installed, also going to have ALOT of windows update i think Tongue

You should of waited 2 weeks. I heard 4TB harddrives are going to be slashed half price soon. So people say on the NVclan forums Smile

Something I haven't got is my bloody new phone which I ordered last Friday!

Supposed to be delivered today by TNT, but after numerous calls and a visit to the depot I was told: "It wasn't loaded onto the truck today for some reason - we don't know. We've searched the warehouse and it isn't there either. We will call you later".

Yeah.... a box which is the right size for a mobile phone, probably labelled as such, has been "lost". How are delivery companies still so bad nowadays?! Let alone a delivery estimate of "between 8am and 6pm"... yeah... thanks for that estimate.

Does that have an IR filter on it? Looks like the brand that got a pounding for not putting IR filters on their laser pointers.

I have one of the ones with an IR filter, it's a 5mW and has a range of about 30 miles. The visible-light to IR ratio is very high which is why going for the more powerful ones is not very wise. The only difference is, mine was given to me by my university as a piece of safety equipment for leading groups out on night hikes in the mountains.

They're awesome though and everyone should own a decent laser pointer. Good ones start from like £20. (Don't get the £5 ebay ones).

To save cost, most laser pointers don't come with IR filters, which is extremely dangerous:

Best way of checking whether it has one is too look down the end (Whilst it's off) and seeing whether you can see a distorted reflection or an un-distorted reflection. If you see an undistorted reflection, there's an IR filter in it and it's good quality.

If you ever get one, get a green one, shows up better.

yer it has a ir filter on it Smile , ive sent it back as i broke it( it broke it i said to them lol) asked for a upgrade to the 200mw for a extra 10 pound Smile and they said yes Biggrin , i might try remove the ir filter tho as i wanna burn more things and faster Biggrin
