[GUIDE] How to Save Trip - Warped - 2014-08-16 12:25

As the number of questions asking how to save your trip on [TC] CityDriving servers is growing, feel free to use this step-by-step guide on how to save your trip. Bold and underlined words are links.

You may have noticed that every time there are more than 25 people on the servers, the Idle Kick mechanism steps in. This means that if you have a lower trip distance driven, you have a lower idle time to spend.

1. Find a Safezone

Safezone is an area on [TC] servers, where you can
  • Pit/spec without losing your trip
  • Pit/spec without being pit-fined
  • Access the Home-menu

Please check [TC] Layout Maps if you cannot find Safezones around the [TC] maps.

2. Disconnect from Safezone

Now, as you've found a Safezone, you can consider if you want to save your trip without worrying about being idle kicked. This is possible, if you use [TC] CityDriving Two server to AFK (provided that there are not more than 25 people present). Trip Saver is a function, which allows players to disconnect the server from a Safezone without losing the current trip for 30 minutes. You are allowed to use this function.

3. Leave Your Garage on Server Two

A lot of people tend to forget this step. Now, as you've successfully connected to [TC] CityDriving Two, you have to leave your garage with your car to activate Trip Saver. After this, you've saved your trip and can now do your desired tasks without worrying about being kicked away and losing the trip.

Should you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
