A GeForce GTX 970 - needs 28 amps on the 12v + rail and a 500 watt power supply

What would you need 32GB of ram for?

Just get an extra 2x4GB kit and get a better PSU. I would never save money on a PSU and rather upgrade what's the most easy to upgrade later on.

Example: 2x GTX970 SLI = 2x 28 amps 12v = 56 amps? Right?

Nevermind. FOund link https://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/printer/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

if SLI it's 1.7x 28A = 48A.
