Windows 10 refuses to start - Owl - 2015-08-09 08:08

Hi guys,

I let my PC do a dskchk today and now it won't boot.

I get this error 0xc000021a on a BSOD.

Any help?

It's great you come here for help but you may well have much more luck posting this on the Microsoft forum, or any unofficial Windows 10 support forum.

If you can get to the window to open Command Prompt, Can't you also click Startup Settings [Image: UslczP0.png]

It should automatically boot into start up repair if it has an issue. If not you can get it there from the bios startup screen.

So I have resorted to my Raspberry Pi to write myself some bootablr windows 10 media. However, I could only download Windows 10 not what I have which is Windows 10 Pro. Will that still keep my windows at windows 10 pro?

In /sources of the img/dvd theres a file ei.cfg
If u rename it/ or remove it and save it somwhere else as backup, it should let you choose what version u want to install

Thanks Barney, looks like im back at ssquare one, I am now trying to look for my sis's Admin password and im going to try and create a windows 10 media on windows. Linux command DD on Rpi doesnt work, the usb wont boot, if anyone has any ideas for that, it would be much appreciated :/

I reinstalled my PC clean to Windows 8.1
Thanks for all of your advice and help, turns out dskchk had converted to partitions to Master Boot Records...

Finally back in business guys, thanks for all of your help!, just finished upgrading and creating an install media again.
