HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - Josh - 2012-02-18 23:39 Hiyar, Just broke the screen on my HTC WS. Dropped about 3ft onto a wood floor, cracked from about 1/3 of the way up on the left, all the way across to the top right. Screen is also completely unresponsive. Basically wondering if a simple screen replacement will do (and if it is something that I can do myself) or if a full professional repair is better (bearing in mind the cost difference). Josh. RE: HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - ZsoLT - 2012-02-18 23:47 Because it's a touch screen phone, and have touch panel, I think the best is the full professional repair. RE: HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - Tom - 2012-02-18 23:51 You will need this and this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Screen-Display-wildfire-Mobile-Replacement/dp/B005A32DUW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1329608922&sr=8-4 or this http://www.amazon.co.uk/WILDFIRE-REPLACEMENT-TOUCHSCREEN-DIGITIZER-CELLAPOD/dp/B0053GALO6/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1329608922&sr=8-6 as it depends have you broke the lcd? or the digitizer glass? RE: HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - Josh - 2012-02-20 16:32 local phone shop estimated £35 for a fix. Cheaper than expected. RE: HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - Malibu - 2012-02-20 16:46 That's probably the average price for a new screen for a smarthphone. Maybe the newest iPhones are more expensive because they are assembled like a bitch RE: HTC Wildfire S [Screen] - Josh - 2012-02-20 16:50 The link Tom posted says £40 for a new digitizer alone I was expecting a quote of at least £50 for a full repair. |
