Basic Training - Skoda - Carl - 2016-06-30 18:55

Training Information:

Took place on: 30/06/2016

Trainer(s) Present: Nismo [T], Connor [T]

Assistance Present: Frozen [CA], Some1 [CA]

Lead Trainer: Nismo [T]

Good Points: General car control when following the suspect wasn't too bad and you were able to maintain sight of the suspect. A couple of PITs were successful.

Improvements: Ramming was one of the biggest concerns I had when watching your final chase. Several occasions, both in the first and second attempt you were outright ramming the suspect. I noticed as you were braking late you were steering into the suspects car as a way of slowing down faster, or so it appeared. You may have seen that as tactical, but regardless ramming is not allowed on the CityDriving server for both civilians and COPs. The first ram did not cause any significant damage, but the second one sent the suspect in the air and caused serious damage. To improve here, if you brake late you just need to avoid making unnecessary contact with the suspect and steer away from him, only tactical force should be used such as PITs, corner PITs and boxing/blocking.

late reactions and poor anticipation were also a problem. Many of times you were braking quite late or not leaving a safety gap in certain areas as you were not thinking ahead. This resulted in dangerous maneuvers and heating your tires.

You should be keeping your tires cool during the chase but your driving style was causing them to heat up and therefore affecting your car control later on in the chase. You need to avoid heating your tires by performing maneuvers correctly, avoid wheel spinning whilst U-turning/J-turning and braking correctly going into corners to avoid under-steer and over-steer.

Despite making a couple of good PITs, a lot were miscalculated. You were at times being too hesitant and not using enough force, or not positioning your car correctly so the PIT would be effective. You missed a lot of PIT opportunities. To improve, look for good opportunities, match your speed with the suspect and make the PIT where it is safe to do so. You should then be actively trying to block the suspect into a corner or against a wall, to try and bust him without causing damage.

Which leads me onto my next point, after performing your maneuvers, you didn't seem to be blocking the suspect or making any attempts to stop him from escaping, it seemed you were just allowing him to drive off or return to the track. You should be demonstrating that you can safely perform a maneuver on a suspect and then block him from driving off.

Notes: Overall, your copping just isn't safe for the servers and this is your 4th training failure. You are not eligible for training. You will be contacted by a lead trainer when you are eligible again.

Authorized by Connor.
