Screen recorder software. - Morreboy - 2016-10-22 17:41

Hey guys. Just wondering.

What software you use for screen recording?

Nvidia ShadowPlay

Shadowplay also.

You need an Nvidia card and a fairly decent PC, though.

Fraps, DXtory, OBS, Action! and Bandicam, Shadowplay are a few that I have used.

OBS is free and highly tune able, you can also stream through it. Shadowplay had a weird stutter for me at first, but now it works as it should, it has 0 inpact on performance, records in really high quality and the feature to save the last 20 mins of footage is always really nice to have when something funny happens.

Streaming games with OBS isn't that good for me but that is probably because of my low spec graphics card, It records just fine though!

I use Plays.TV when playing games, and just cut out the bad parts so I have good clips of funny moments. (Plays.TV is similar to ShadowPlay also how you can save the last x minutes of footage, it also starts and stops recording automatically)

I will be getting a NVIDIA Card soon so I can use ShadowPlay (it's good if you have an NVIDIA card)

ShareX for non-DirectX/OpenGL recordings and screenshots.
