New wheel for X-Mas? - Raphi - 2016-10-26 18:29

Hi guys,

I recently spoke with my mum about a christmas present, a new wheel. I'm quite bored of the 2 pedals of my DFGT, and the force feedback is waaaaaayyyy to noisy for me to play at 3am. Smile
I had a look at some wheels but I don't know what wheel to choose. I was about to choose a g29, but I saw bad reviews and bad remarks on it, so I'm a bit lost here.
The budget is around €300, a bit more, a bit less, in fact, it depends of if my grandpas participate in it a lot or not. But let's say €300.
Ikr I can't afford a 900°, 3 pedal with h-shifter wheel for €300, except an used one.
But asking to people who have different wheels is better, therefore that's why I'm asking to you. Smile

NB: The h-shifter will be bought later on, so I firstly focus on the wheel. If I have to change the pedals, that's not a problem. I just need to not go over €300.
Thanks Smile

I have a G27 for 4 years now, and it have noise, roominess, the skin its used and well, its ok for 4 yeras of big use. But I think that I wont go again for a Logitech.

Pete had resumed their setup very well, take a look on it:

Thanks Borja, but I can't really find a G27, except "out of price range", I mean they're quite overpriced for my opinion. However, this is my last choice if I can't find anything else.

I had a look for the T150 with the T3PA addon so... Is this really worth it? I can have the T150 and T3PA for around €250 which give me €50 already to economize and buy the TH8A h-shifter. I heard only good experience about this wheel, so...

RE: New wheel for X-Mas? - Sam - 2016-10-26 19:07

The T300 Alcantara is about 450 Euros that Pete uses Borja, so that is out of the price range for a start.

What I'd recommend buying in this range:

T300RS at about 280 Euros (Keep an eye on it as it often goes on sale on Amazon, I paid 200 Euros for mine)

T3PA Pedals at 84 Euros of Amazon

If you do manage to catch the T300 on sale before Christmas that will only be about 285 Euros which isn't bad.

Edit: obviously I'd recommend waiting and saving up for the Alcantara version and some Fanatec Pedals, but I'm guessing you probably wouldn't want to do that (:

RE: New wheel for X-Mas? - Raphi - 2016-10-26 19:26

The problem is that in France the T300 is overpriced imo. And that means I can't have 3 pedals until some more months which is my main motivation to change my wheel, because I have to admit that my DFGT isn't that bad for €90. So I found the T150 with T3PA.
Do someone here tested it or bought it? Because as I can have it for €150 with the T3PA for €100 it's my priority.
However thanks Sam, I'll keep a look at Amazon anyway, but I won't except a lot from amazon.fr .

I've heard good things about the T150 for the price actually GT4Tube, just because it isn't the same version as your wheel doesn't make it crap. If you actually read the thread you will see it is out of the price range he set us.

RE: New wheel for X-Mas? - GT4tube - 2016-10-26 20:10

Yes, Wheel is ok and 2 pedals just crap.

T150 + T3PA be okay but..

*I'm no sure about T150. People say only option is T300 because was worth it than T150 i guess..

RE: New wheel for X-Mas? - Pete - 2016-10-27 01:34

If you have €300 to spend on a wheel I would honestly wait a while longer and go for something in the T300 range. I upgraded to it from a DFGT and haven't looked back, it was worth saving up for and worth the wait. €300 is a lot already so you may as well get something good... Don't waste it on a G29 or T150.

Logitech for me 7 years and going strong on my g25, and thats 70000 miles worth on just LFS

I've had my g27 for 2 yrs in a month, and only thing that has gone wrong is that the reverse gear would register as 6th, but since it was on warranty got it replaced and no problemos *knocks on wood*. But from what i've heard, the only option is the t300.

I agree, but my main motivation to change my wheel is to have 3 pedals and a h-shifter after. Otherwise, th DFGT is good enough.
I asked for a T150 because the T300 here is exxxtra overpriced, I don't know why, but still... I still need to buy some 3 pedal kit after, plus the h-shifter, which will make the total price over €500... As I'm not as "rich" (not an insult or smth else) as some of you guys, basically because I can't work and my parents can't give €500 of presents and nothing to my sis'... I'm a bit blocked.
I hope the prices for the T300 will be lower, if not, the T150 is a good choice for my utilisation imo.

And as I said, it's not only the wheel, because even the T300 has 2 pedals. So, T3PA + T300 + TH8A= over €500 here.

After all, my choice isn't done. I have to wait to know the exact budget, depending of my family, as I live at more than 1000km now -they spoke about giving money directly to my parents- like this, we can consider something about €350 or €400.

So, let's wait. But my preference is for the T150 with T3PA, or, the T300, if the prices have lowered a bit.

€: On Amazon the T300 RS is around €300, but with 2 pedals, no h-shifter. https://www.amazon.fr/Thrustmaster-T300-Volant-P%C3%A9dalier-pour/dp/B00KSXV274

RE: New wheel for X-Mas? - Pete - 2016-10-27 14:49

FYI: The T300 Alcantara bundle has 3 pedals.

The T150 is a good wheel but since you're going to end up buying 3 pedals and a shifter anyway, you should consider the T300 bundle that already has 3 pedals. (The black Friday sales on thrustmaster.com might be worth waiting for)

Oh, didn't know that. Then, going to have a careful look to every occasion. Smile
Now, let's wait and see, my choice isn't done anyway
Thanks guys Smile
