Unlocking my iPhone - Kyle - 2016-11-05 10:09

Hello,

So I'm leaving EE - It's a long story but to cut it short, they're charging me £200 for a £70 phone bill; so I'm switching to GiffGaff - and I don't know what service I should use to unlock my iPhone, because it's locked to EE.

Is anyone able to recommend a service to me (which is good and as cheap as possible?)

I done the exact same as you, I switched to giffgaff too. I checked local phone unlock shops for Apple devices and they are really expensive. Some prices were between 40-60 pounds.

I just rang up EE and they done it for about 8-10 pound. Since you have an iPhone, it's better to ring up EE and do it through them.

I've just tried the online form but apparently you 'need to settle your balance before submitting an unlock request'.

Did you ring them with an outstanding balance and ask to unlock your phone?
