TC Lights Suggestion - UK USERS READ - Quattro10V - 2016-12-22 12:33

Hey guys,

I had an idea regarding TC Lights. It's an odd mix of UK and American siren styles atm. We have the horn beep between tones like in the UK, but the ability to play dual sirens, something we can't do in the UK.

We access all three tones separately as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnCdQiS78UA

I'd like an option where you can select which mode you'd like -dual sirens (it works as it currently is) or a new variant of the system where you can play all three sirens separately.

Let me know what you think.

Totally agree with you Quattro! I think have three sirens on a loop will be better than having a two-tone system.

Hopefully a program can be created!

It would be good to see as an OPTION. Then people can choose. Not sure how it would work, but if they can make INSIM then they can make a variant which functions in two different ways for sure!

You can bind pg up and down both in LFS and profiler to buttons on your wheel?

This would make things a whole load more realistic. Smile

It would indeed, and be good for some variety in the game. We just need to find someone to sort it out!

I'd love to see this featured. Elmo is the man to get working on it.

It'd be good for sure. I've PM'd him with a link to the thread and asked for his input!

Ras, would I be right in thinking you had a new video recently with a set of Met sirens which were un-released?

RE: TC Lights Suggestion - UK USERS READ - Quattro10V - 2017-01-07 11:19

Had another thought late last night while trying to sleep. We don't need two versions of TC lights, a UK and EU/US version. We can have ONE version and keep the controls exactly the same, just that instead of one press changing between SirenSlow and SirenFast, it also includes Horn5 (like press+hold)

1x press enables siren
1x press -SirenSlow>SirenFast>Horn5>SirenSlow>SirenFast>Horn5>SirenSlow etc etc...
1x press+hold from SirenSlow - Plays SirenSlow and starts SirenFast - they'll both play at the same time (dual sirens - this function will work from whatever tone you're currently sounding and will just start the next tone along on a loop so they're both running)
1x hold - bullhorn as usual
2x press - Turns siren off after temporarily playing the other tone (Exactly as it is now)

Only difference is that single presses will include a 3rd tone, and a press and hold will run dual sirens as long as you like (NOT TO BE USED WHEN IN CONVOY / CHASE WITH OTHER VEHICLES)

Best way I see of doing it,just need Elmo to work his magic.

I think having two versions would be a lot better and a lot less confusing imo. A bit longer to code (?) but way more practical than having one version. Only my two cents tho.

In what way mate? Smile I was thinking it'd be simpler and less buggy to have dual sirens as an option just in one TC lights, with the regular one cycling all 3 tones.

I really like this idea. Big +1 from me.

Misunderstood what you wrote. I read it a second time and now I understand what you meant Smile
Big +1 from me.

Pretty sure he thinks it's Chuck who made TC Lights, Pete. Smile
