Hello there,

Today marks the 11th anniversary of [TC] CityDriving and the formation of the [TC] team. To mark the occasion we have chosen today to announce a range of events that will be taking place during the summer months.

Today we are announcing:
  • [TC] CityDriving Open Recruitment: 7th July - 6th August
  • 9th Annual [TC] CityDriving Gumball 3000: 21st July - 4th August
  • [TC] Racing Summer Series: Commences 23rd July
  • 2 New additions to the [TC] Racing driver lineup.

We hope to see you get involved in some of our summer events. Have a great summer!

[TC] CityDriving Open Recruitment
7th July - 6th August

Feel like becoming a part of [TC] CityDriving? Public recruitment opens in less than 2 weeks!

This time around though, things are slightly different. Let us summarise the key changes:
  • The initial application is much more stringent. A new section named "Visual Scenarios" will test your administrative judgement when applied to actual past replays and User Reports.
  • If your application is successful you will face one, as opposed to two, driving-related tests. The 'Recruit' rank period is therefore shifted more toward honing your admin-related skills and decision making. However driving skill remains a key factor.
The recruitment area on the forum will become available once the applications open, within which will contain all necessary information for you to judge exactly how recruitment is managed and what to expect.

If you wish to apply but expect to be away for a period of longer than 7 days between 7th July and 21st July, please PM a member of [TC] CityDriving management (BP, Brad, Leon or Ash) and we will do our best to find alternative arrangements for you.

We hope you seasoned City Drivers, as well as newcomers, step-up and apply!

9th Annual [TC] CityDriving Gumball 3000
21st July - 4th August

LFS's single largest event is back for its 9th successive year! Our Gumball rally will begin 2 weeks earlier than normal to try and attract more signups from those in mainland Europe who are on holiday at this time. Cars will leave the grid at 21:00 UTC+1 on Friday 21st July, just under a month from now.

More information regarding the rally including skin decals and sign up information will be released this week so please check back for those! Feel free to check out our previous Gumball events to see what it's all about.

Here's this year's trailer:

[TC] Racing Summer Series
Commencing 23rd July

Following the success of the racing series we organised last summer and winter we're organising 3 more races this summer to form our summer race series. Our first race is planned for Sunday 23rd July and will feature the Formula XR (FOX) at South City Long (SO4). More information on the series, signup and live streams will be posted in due course.

Whilst we're with [TC] Racing, we have 2 additions to our lineup to announce! Adam "k_badam" Brown joined the [TC] team earlier this year and having been a part of the winning team of this year's CityLiga 24, we are delighted to welcome him to [TC-R] as the latest addition to our LFS driver lineup.

We would also like to announce that Jack "Renegade" Eyre has joined [TC-R] and will be representing us in iRacing as well as Live for Speed. Jack has a few years of experience with iRacing and will be helping some of the team to make the transition to that sim before the end of the year.

Welcome to the team Adam and Jack!
