Multiple Rule Amendments (Server/Forum) - BP - 2017-08-26 14:30

Hello,

We have updated a few parts of our Server Rules. This thread will include a breakdown of these changes:

3.15: Added Blackwood specific rules 10.8x (2017-08-26)

This was added to the rules:

Quote:10.8. Blackwood(BL1X)
10.8.1. Allowable stunt areas: Blackwood Car Park, Storage Yard, Paddock
10.8.2. This environment has left-hand traffic.

We needed to define the stunt zones, and which side to drive on.

3.15: Rephrased road laws for cops not in chase (4.2) (2017-08-26)

The rule previously stated:

Quote:4.2. Road Laws

Cops must obey road laws when not in a chase.

The rule now states:

Quote:4.2. Road Laws

Cops must obey road laws when not in a chase.
Breaking road laws will be tolerated for short periods if it's necessary to get speeding evidence (!laser) or to initiate a chase, provided it is done with all due care and remains within a reasonable relation to the pursued offence.

This was an unwritten rule for many years, and whilst it was briefly covered in the Police Guide, it needed to be clarified in the Server Rules.

3.15: Refined stunts in chase (3.11) (2017-08-26)

The rule previously stated:

Quote:3. --- Cars being chased ---
3.11. Stunts & Stunt Areas

Participating in stunt- or similar events is not allowed.
However, you may pass through the designated stunt areas.

The rule now states:

Quote:3. --- Cars being chased ---
3.11. Stunts & Stunt Areas

- Participating in stunt events is not allowed (e.g. climbing on fun structures). However, you may pass through the designated stunt areas.
- Doing stunts to gain advantage in chase is forbidden. (e.g. jumping over fences/walls/barriers).

For various reasons, there was a great deal of confusion and misinterpretation with the previous rule, so we needed to take an official and clear stance on the issue.

3.15: Updated the reporting help to reflect the current insim (2017-08-26)

The Reporting Rule-Breakers and getting Help part of the Server Rules has been amended to reflect the most current report system. This also means the complaint part of this section has been removed.

The Forum Rules were also updated slightly.

Rule 3.2 previously stated:

Quote:3.2. Only admins and users involved in the user report/unban request are permitted to post.

Rule 3.2 now states:

Quote:3.2. Only admins and users involved - including people who can supply evidence which may alter the outcome of the case - may post in threads within the Server Administration Tasks forum and its sub-forums.

Thanks,
