Cracked version still around Wink

RE: City Car Driving - Cola - 2012-06-09 22:04

Okay, finally got to try the new version. I still cant run the game smooth in any other setting than no AA, and low/medium settings. Sad (Phenom II 955BE, 2x2GB 1600MHz ram, HD5850 1GB) I should be running it fine though. :/

Anyway, has anyone given the custom sounds a try yet? Because I tried it, and I dont understand anything of it. Tongue

RE: City Car Driving - ChrisM - 2012-06-09 22:32

sum1 hurry up and crack the new update Smile

RE: City Car Driving - Cola - 2012-06-09 22:42

The new update isn't really interesting though, before there's some new sounds out, which there isn't yet, so nothing new. Performance hasn't improved for me. I'm still running at Low/Medium Full HD no AA settings for it to run smooth. :/

RE: City Car Driving - Pipa - 2012-06-09 23:09

I am really thinking about buying this one. Sounds pretty fun so far.

RE: City Car Driving - Tommer - 2012-06-09 23:13

Needs multiplayer and Police then i'll consider it Tongue

RE: City Car Driving - Weelob - 2012-06-09 23:43

People can borrow my license if they want to Smile I need some ingame cash ofcourse. Maximum of 2 people that can do it, and I require to do it over TeamViewer.

RE: City Car Driving - Johan. - 2012-06-10 11:47

Hmm, now your getting me interested Weelob, what's the price ingame your thinking off?

RE: City Car Driving - Bez - 2012-06-10 21:08

Great game. AI needs updating alot. They are quiet stupid at times breaking suddenly to let cars pass.. Stopping on roundabouts to let cars out... Indicating when they aren't even turning off.. Suddenly stopping while indicating to change lanes.. Still needs substantial work to become quite a good simulator. But overall its quite fun and enjoyable with all the different cars, weathers, times of day.

Made a video for a guy on the City car driving forums on one of the missions.

Could be nice for others to watch as well, so figured I might post it here Tongue

Version 1.2.4 has now been released Smile

http://citycardriving.com/news/50-030912

CityCarDriving Wrote:What's new in version 1.2.4:

Added a multilinguial support: English, Deutch and French user interface;
Added a new player car;
Fixed several bugs, which caused the game to crash;
Fixed several defects in level-design.

Greatly improved artificial intelligence and traffic rules control system:

Traffic cars learned the U-turn at intersections;
Fixed "dead" traffic jams at intersections (due to the new traffic cars’ skill to move in reverse);
Traffic cars increasingly make way for the player with priority at intersections, properly pass one another (they less bump and less stand on the road unreasonably);
Quantity of cars and pedestrians now corresponds to the density of each area (also fixed large number of cars on the highway when traffic density is set to low);
Traffic cars acceleration and deceleration now matches the characteristics of real cars (fixed unnatural, sharp acceleration and deceleration);
Driving behavior of traffic cars is more satisfied to the selected type of traffic (calm, aggressive, etc.). This is reflected in the average speed (for example, when you select the aggressive behavior of traffic cars, they drive much faster in the left lane of the highway);
Traffic cars like to drive on the right side of the road (there’re more of them in right lanes of the road), and the traffic cars speed on left lanes of the road became much faster);
Traffic cars ceased to stop immediately, when an obstacle appears in front of them;
Traffic cars ceased to drive through intersections at red lights;
Reduced the number of traffic rules violations on roundabouts caused by traffic cars (for example, they ceased to turn left from the right lane).

Improved the behavior of traffic cars on roundabouts:

Traffic cars increasingly make way for the player with priority on roundabouts;
Traffic cars less stand on the road unreasonably;
Fixed abnormally short lane changings (perpendicular to the lane) of traffic cars on roundabouts;
Now traffic cars switch on the turn signal on roundabouts according to following recommendations:

- If the traffic car drives off the roundabout in the first ramp: it drives in the roundabout and drives along the roundabout with the right turn signal;
- If the traffic car needs to drive for about half of the roundabout: it drives in the roundabout and drives along the roundabout with none of turn signals;
- If the traffic car needs to drive for almost the entire roundabout: it drives in the roundabout and drives along the roundabout with the left turn signal;
- When the traffic car drives off the roundabout: it switches on the right turn signal.

Well that certainly seems to be a big improvement, awesome.

RE: City Car Driving - Bez - 2012-09-04 00:33

Time to try out the new AI Biggrin Heh Smile

I hope they act normal now Tongue

RE: City Car Driving - Blade3562 - 2012-09-05 04:18

I remember when this first came under development, looks really cool, I may purchase it. But the one computer limit seems stupid. I have 2 pcs, why can I not install it on both?

EDIT: really hoping for a Multi driver LAN or online support. Real people act differently from AI, when I weave in traffic I don't know how every person will act, but you begin to adapt to how the AI act.

RE: City Car Driving - Bez - 2012-09-05 04:26

Its not one pc limited lol.. iv'e used my activation code on 2 different PCs cause my brother plays it at his house Tongue

Lol ok I had just read on the site you can only activate on one pc or something er other.

RE: City Car Driving - Bez - 2012-09-05 04:40

Yeh i lost my activation code once and emailed them. They phoned me from Canada on my mobile just to give me my code.. Now that's customer service xD

RE: City Car Driving - Blade3562 - 2012-09-05 04:45

Yes indeed it is haha. I also like the mod support. It's nice. The fun part will be once they really get coding down and they have the randomly selected road rage AI who chases you down for cutting them off lol

RE: City Car Driving - Bez - 2012-09-05 05:59

Heh yeh Smile It still needs a lot of tweaking still.. They still don't understand roundabouts Tongue (But at least the indicate now and cross the lanes slowly) I saw a AI doing a U turn at a T-Junction then the car behind it did it as well, then he started reversing into me.. So still needs some more fixes xD

RE: City Car Driving - bullet - 2012-09-09 19:29

Please be honest, is it worth buying?
