RE: Skin Approval - Maverick - 2014-11-16 19:22

Hello,

I have been told today by [TC]Howlin to post this skin on the forums if I want to use it further, so here it is:

Side note: this is a skin from the early times of TC and made originally by s0ber13 and has been posted back in 2007 in the old forums (that's where I got it from years ago). It has been reposted by [TC]StreetGB in the old forums.

Times have changed and cop skins became more restrictive that's why I'm asking you, whether this is still usable as a cop skins and valid.

Original thread (link is still online): http://z6.invisionfree.com/tccitydriving1/index.php?showtopic=2653

The police font on the front and rear is a bit hard to read but should still work. If you want to change it to something a bit easier to read then feel free.

Allowed.

Similar to the black XRT skin you made. Just not visible enough to be a tow skin.

Similar minimalistic style as the NYPD skin, which got allowed by Elmo with a few modifications. So i will apply the same principle to it.

If you make the side stripes slightly thicker and add a POLICE to the front, currently missing, then you can use it on the server.

Suitable? Based on IRL fire engines/cars locally.

@MCG - that should be good to go.

@Tomiy - I'm not ignoring your post by the way, I got you to post it here because I'm unsure. The design is a little "clumsy" and it is even harder to see when it's in-game and the quality is lowered. We'll wait for someone else's input on that one.

RE: Skin Approval - Howlin - 2014-11-25 12:22

@Tomiy: In addition to what BP said, I think you could probably do with putting "RESCUE" on the sides and front and making the chevrons on the rear a lot clearer (Making them thicker would probably work)

No problem man.I will edit it Wink

Just wondering if this skin would be allowed to use. Its basically a Mountain Rescue skin.

That one is fine. Feel free to use it.

Looks fine, if you want to increase visibility you could an Ambulance writing on the rear. Will be fine without it though.

Very pretty skin too, nice work.

The skin is ok? Smile

RE: Skin Approval - Bez - 2014-12-05 16:02

Wasn't there a rule about not using black and yellow battenburg due to the HwA skins?

RE: Skin Approval - Olli - 2014-12-05 16:22

Yes there's.

RE: Skin Approval - BP - 2014-12-05 16:30

That rule was for tow skins, but I think it might apply here too. To me, that looks like a HwA skin or a rescue skin.

RE: Skin Approval - Howlin - 2014-12-05 16:40

Rule 4.4.2.b Wrote:If you wish to use a "Battenburg" style livery you must be aware of the following:
The colours of the battenburg itself must be Blue and Yellow. These colours are exclusively used by the Police around the world where battenburg liveries are deployed. Other colours/combinations are sometimes used by other emergency/non-emergency/recovery vehicles.

RE: Skin Approval - Pipa - 2014-12-05 16:41

Yeah has to be blue-ish and yellow-ish.

Quote:4.4.2.b Battenburg

When using a battenburg livery, the base colour is less important than in 4.4.2.a, as the battenburg itself is usually sufficient for visibility.

Should be completely fine now, Ossi.
