Me and my group got jumped by another group (they were a lot better equipped than us) while we were fixin up a heli, well, I think they had the same idea, as when we lost the firefight (all but one of our group was done, only got one of them) they started workin on the heli (our sniper was watching them waiting for a shot), they must have sensed something was up as they all of a sudden started running back towards their car, our sniper dropped them both, put all the loot in the car, went an hid it, took the other guy's heli parts an got the heli stashed too, tonight we gotta all head back north to drive all of our new shiny vehicles back to camp.
TL : DR :Was searchin for heli parts, got jumped by a team, stole their heli parts.

I want this Dayz stuff and I want it now! What´s a Six Launcher and a Dayz Commander? What do I do?! I have neither!

Dayz Commander is just a third party tool that allows you to update DayZ and Arma 2 automatically (it will tell you when new updates are available).
You can use it to find servers, and your friends by typing in their username.
Pretty useful tool, although you don't need it to run DayZ.

Just download DayZ Commander and use the update/install tab at the top to get everything up to date, it is very straight forward. Do not touch Six Launcher as it is haunted and it WILL haunt you for the rest of your life.

I added you as friend in Dayz Commander Hexta, but it didn't show up anything so far. I wouldn't mind joining every once in a while. (as I still need some people to play it with. Surviving on your own is.. pretty.. boring)

But, it won´t let me download Dayz without one of those programs. I`ll just grab the commander thingy and cross my fingers. My computer will probably be fried when I´ve installed this stuff.

Nvm, found a dead body in the airstrip with a coyote backpack, silenced Bizon, silenced makarov and lots of other goodies

Well... I died and got an SVD Dragunov within 45 minutes with full gear, and then traded it for a DMR 10 minutes later. I'm not bad... oh I also have an FN Fal as my weapon for CQB.

That's the manual download option.
That's what I use. No need for additional programs to do what will take you 30 seconds. Download, copy, paste.
