As the guys said: first get Arma2 Combined operations.
Then just download "DayZ commander" its an automatic mod installer, updater, server browser etc. quite neat

Me and my squad have managed to gear up again. We found a few camps, stole all their stuff and have made a new camp. We claimed two tractors, a white pick up, a motorbike and a chopper (But we blew it up as we had no use for it). Im now equipped with a L86AWS and AS50. Got a ghillie suit, coyote back pack and lots of other nice goodies! Happy days

Map is handy, hit M, and you can make waypoints (on some servers) by holding shift and clicking on the map

There is a low chance of getting your leg broken when you get hit by a zombie. Don't ask me why, just don't get hit by a zombie, as you'll need a Morphine Auto-Injector. If you don't already have one they are a pain in the arse to get, or you'll have to have someone come and save you.

If you watch the video he fast forwards through all the boring stuff that take up so much time, time that I'd rather spend on a game that is fun the whole time

There are no boring parts to me... just because every second isn't action-packed doesn't make it boring. But... you can't really say it's boring because you have tried it.
