Isn't rule 2.5 to avoid confusion about an old discussion? Where's the confusion in a background package?

The rule itself is clear, but it is OK in some cases (e.g. if there is a development to the thread, or replying to a 'Show us your [...] type thread' which hasn't been replied to in a while), but saying "good job" a year after the last reply is not allowed.


Saturday's post is not in violation of this rule, because there was a reply four day prior to his, so I'll be removing that admin message attached to his post.
