checking your browser - January - 2021-09-05 14:20

Hello, I am looking forward to asking on behalf of the Saudi Arabia players to remove checking browser thing from Saudi Arabia IPs I think last few years TC doesn't face any threats from Saudi players especially in mean (DDoS) therefore I am looking forward to re-think about that decision.

I think forming a thread and asking to remove something like that would be suspicious but there's a reason for why I am asking for it and we are trying to find a permanent solution for it.

Hello. I'm not from [TC] team nor Arabian, but I'm not sure that is normal that you have this look you showed in the video (Timestamp 0:21). Also, there are some other players from Saudi Arabia on the server. Did you talk with them for discover if the problem is only with you?

Your country may restrict or require this type of verification, I'm not sure.

Anyway, the answers from the admins are more reliable than mine. Thumbup

Does the same happen if you use this link: https://forum.city-driving.co.uk ?

You are using HTTP right now, that's why your browser tells you it isn't secure. Many websites automatically send you to the HTTPS-version if you use the HTTP-version, but this forum doesn't. The cause of not loading images is probably caused by that, because modern browsers refuse loading images from HTTP sources sometimes. So please try to use https://forum.city-driving.co.uk instead of http://forum.city-driving.co.uk .

This can be a solution to the issue of images etc. not loading, but it doesn't solve that it keeps asking for your country. That's on purpose to avoid DDoS-attacks because some time ago sadly many attacks were initiated to TC's server from Saudi Arabia.

Yes, I am already asked them and they have the same issues and they avoid that by using a VPN

I would first like to thank you for the temporary solution you gave me, but I am looking for a permanent solution to get the best experience in the TC forums. Unfortunately, I know why the browser checks Saudi Arabian servers because previously, forums were getting DDoS by Saudi users, and I also had no problems in the past. But nowadays, issues prompted me to create this thread as there are issues preventing me from freely browsing the forum.

Replacing the HTTP for HTTPS didn't fix it? Wouter said the best solution IMO.

By the players, there is nothing we can do anymore. Probably the admins may help you.

Hey Ja, did you try this in the circle?

BTW. If Wouter's method worked for you. You should delete all TC website history and visit the website all over with "https" tag in the front. You might browse old links which are not secured.

RE: checking your browser - January - 2021-09-07 20:24

Yes, I do try it. I am running into the same problem. Thank you for trying to find a solution to my problem also Wouter gave me a temporary solution but when I go to other TC forum pages it brings me back to the same problem like doing nothing.

RE: checking your browser - Sky - 2021-09-07 22:09

For the people replying, this is not an issue, this is a security check for every Saudi Arabian IP logging into TC websites, Like TC World, Forums, Main (old) page. So i get the same thing. Probably because of that one hacker from a Saudi Arabian IP, i dont blame them whoever set a security check, but i think it should be lifted now, maybe placed back if any suspicious activity shows up, but not have that all the time. The problem with this is two things, one is having to answer these dumb photos, two is apps that use TC API will not work.
