LFS Version W / Mod support - Chuck - 2021-11-12 15:40 Hello everybody, as you may have seen, we now have a new server running LFS version W that allows car mods. The new mods system is currently in a beta state but we’d like to invite you to our new server and check out the new options the mods are giving us. Insim is also running there! Here is a list of currently available mods: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods As the new version is not yet officially released, you need to download and install it manually. https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/95664-Mods%3A-Downloads---Web-Pages---Videos---Documents I haven’t tested it, but it has been said that you need to own LFS S3 in order to use this version. Please make a copy of your game before installing because you won't be able to join the "old" servers anymore. The new mods make things a bit complicated for our game-play, like car editions etc. Since we cannot just let people use any mod, we need to make some configurations Insim-wise. Here is how we are going to deal with mods: Stage 1: Mods can be registered by admins. Those will then be available as rental cars within minutes. Stage 2: When a mod seems stable and is considered a good addition to TC, we will create deeper configurations, with prices, points, wear factor etc. Everything that is necessary to own the car. We won’t do that with fresh mods, as it isn’t certain that the creator of the mod will remove it the next day. That will cause problems to us if you bought the car and cannot use it anymore.
