Regarding the 5.50 update - Chuck - 2022-10-03 04:29 I thought I'd create a thread regarding the recent 5.50 update There have been a few questions around and I also want to add some background info: 1. Battery ![]() The "U" stands for "units" (couldn't think of anything better) as it isn't "%" anymore since you now can add extra batteries. (Little addition: All EMS vehicles have their built-in 100U battery as before. Extra batteries add on top of that.) 2. The bikes have 4 slots (instead of zero) now (as originally planned). It should be enough to add a few things but no tow equipment. 3. Here's a brief overview of original plans (may differ a bit now): Code: Bicycle/scooter = 2 slots 4. Power/damage upgrades do add up (however, not literally) Example: 3 speed upgrades: 100% (starting value) + 10% upgrade = 110% + 10% upgrade = 121% + 10% upgrade = 133.1% So the base speed i.e. 160kph * 133.1% = 212 kph Example: 3 damage upgrades: 100% (starting value) - 10% upgrade = 90% - 10% upgrade = 81% - 10% upgrade = 72,9% = Final crash factor = 72,9% 5. ![]() If you see this then you're a bit lucky. Since happens when the "old" car had more items installed than the new car would allow. However, a future version of Insim will automatically remove items that do no longer fit in. Feel free to post questions below. RE: Regarding the 5.50 update - Misterviin - 2022-10-03 04:49 Why is bridge and ramp no more for normal car RE: Regarding the 5.50 update - Chuck - 2022-10-03 05:31 (2022-10-03 04:49)Misterviin Wrote: Why is bridge and ramp no more for normal car Well, those items are quite big and would never fit on a normal car. But more importantly, it gives the big vehicles, like the Duplato fire engine the meaning they deserve. If you, for instance, see a truck like this making its way through traffic and arriving on scene, you automatically know why it's there and what it 's purpose is on the scene. I can't wait to see that happen. |
