this also means shutting down for people in entertainment industries such as Movies,music and other arts.
basically the first steps to become a dictator like a digital burning of books.
(This thread is not meant for conspiracy nor rants about MAGA or anything of its like).
but it does look like its a part of a greater game as Kanye west has said he wants to buy another less known social media after seing trump making the truth social media. to me that looks like they try to alter reality and strip people from freedom of speech.
the API´s on twitter is also used by many gamers and news outlets.
so again.
this thread is not meant for ranting about these things .
it is purely made to enlighten you about what is going on and why some things will become very hard in a very nearby future. for billions of people.
i find these things extremely disturbing.
what do you think about the monetization of APIs on twitter?
that is what this thread is about.
admins can freely delete or take actions towards anyone who starts ranting about things mentioned above.
i fully trust that in case that happens here.
maybe thread should be closed.

But you gotta be careful. The government is watching us. Have you see the amount of bots scraping the forum!

There is no such thing as a free service. When you receive a service for free, it's because you are the product.
That Twitter is moving away from relying on advertisers is a great thing IMO, it's better to be the customer in a relationship with the services you use than to be a product to be sold. Hopefully twitter carries on down the path of relying on advertisers less, although these things take time.

i currently changed social networks.
now on a network which does not track me and its completely free.
but i also get your point. and thats basically the norm.
like i dont use goolge for searches online. but its also the norm people use google. hence the term, did you google that. my reply is usually no i searched it. without being tracked by google. so yes and no.
