MSA BTCC Knockhill 2012 - Pete - 2012-08-26 22:30

Hey,

Spent the day in Scotland taking snaps of the cars at the Knockhill BTCC with my sister.

Camera: Nikon D80

Here's are some of my favourites:

(Above) - Ginetta G50. This poor guy caught a Dunlop banner, blocking the air intake. He tried to get it off for about 5 laps but his car overheated and he was forced to retire!

Ginetta G40 (Junior race). He did actually finish (7th), but lost a place or three in the last lap or so because he had to manage the engine temp.

G50s and G55s

Is the on-track commentary really that bad?

I knew you'd pick me up on something. I'm pretty sure the commentators said they were G60's Tongue

Yeah, the commentary isn't terrific but if you want commentary, stay at home and watch it Tongue

True that.

Spectators and fans go to the event for the action and atmosphere, not the technicalities.

TBH, I felt more fun while watching the F1 Quallifications in Montreal, than at home. There was commentary too.
Same thing goes for the local race track, a tiny oval.
