Nice shot Yukine, I seem to be getting back into ETS2 again

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Raphi - 2016-12-31 14:09

Nice Scania Yukine. Smile
Also, do someone have tested the Allison 6-speed tranny, added one or two updates ago?
I was a bit skeptic of only 6 gears on a truck; however, it seems that with some big engines such as V8 620 or, for Vovlo fans, D16 engine, it works well; although I haven't tested on "low-end" engines.

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Owl - 2016-12-31 14:14

I hate them personally

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Sam - 2016-12-31 14:54

I tried it but I found the ratios very weird. But I was on 1.25, maybe that has something to do with it?

Edit: Just watched a video of someone using it in ETS, mines must be glitched.

Full 12 split + range is the way OR auto if you're boring Tongue

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Yukine - 2016-12-31 17:54

Must be good only for heavier loads.

Personally I'll stick to my Renault's ZF Ecosplit (16 gears).

Built a new truck today, used the 730 engine with the 6 speed box.

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Raphi - 2017-01-02 09:05

I've tested it on two trucks, Renault Magnum 520 and Scanoa Streamline V8: although on the Scania I loved that gearbox, I personally hated it on the Renault. I'll personally stick on 12 speed gearbox tho, but I need to buy a shifter, so now I'm playing in auto. Smile

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Sam - 2017-01-02 15:35

I've only tried it on the 730 V8 towing 25T, worked really well I think, it maintained speed up steep Hills and didn't find myself wanting more gears, would only worth with 600+ HP though

Seventy Thousand Keys and Still Going!
We were originally planning to wrap up the Grand Gift Delivery event on the first day of the new year, but we now see that many of you would appreciate more time.

As of now, we have given away over 70 thousand keys as a reward for completing the required ten Christmas deliveries, but there are still over 50,000 players trying to complete the objective. Over 500,000 jobs were delivered since the campaign started, which was quite a stress test of our infrastructure (you may have noticed some glitches in the early days until we have boosted our database processing power). It is also a great testament of the level of involvement and passion that the fans have for our games. Right at this moment over 10 thousand Christmas deliveries are on their way! It may be a bit late to help poor Santa in time for his self-imposed deadlines, but not too late for your chances to earn the reward!

We are setting the final deadline of Grand Gift Delivery to midnight of January 15, 2017, CET. Providing you with more time is also another way of saying "thanks for your support" during the final voting for Steam Awards 2016.

But that's not all!

After a very extensive approval process, we are finally on the verge of releasing a very cool DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, in cooperation with a highly regarded tyre manufacturer. Could happen as soon as next week. To celebrate the occasion, we are once again planning for a key give-away. As was the case previously, it will be a chance for loyal players with tons of playtime under their belt to get a free Steam key in exchange for a bit of clicking on the Internet. Pay attention to our social media channels; the event will be announced there early next week, and we have a good reason to believe that the big batch of keys set aside for it may be gone in an hour or two.

Michelin DLC is funny. All the mods out there do a ton of a better job for free.

@Ras Amazing paint job and truck!

Been playing with the new Viva La France DLC. Really enjoying it Biggrin

Not my truck, using a realistic economy mod. Only earning €120-170 per job at the moment.

What a great shot! Really good looking, love the paint. How did you get the paint that way?
