RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Nammi - 2012-10-21 08:22

the driving feels quite nice i think. even with a gamepad its allways smooth to steer.

But im having massive performance issues. and the game looks very pixeled allthough im in my display's native resolution... and tbh that kind of hardware requirements for such a non spectacular graphics is riddiculus. i might have bought it but it just doesnt look good on the settings i can play on.

Have you tried messing around with the advanced settings? Smile

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Nammi - 2012-10-21 08:38

Yes i did. but ihad to set things to low - espacially all the post processing anad shadows because the game was just slow. even updated my ATI drivers. btw: anyone knows what "scaling" does?

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Roba - 2012-10-21 10:27

"Scaling" basically means the quality of the textures, 400% is extreme quality and takes huge performance when under 100% looks like shit and takes less performance lol. Someone said 150%-200% is good.

Yeah i've had to stop at a crossing once as a train crossed Smile Caused quite a queue.

Anyone have good advice regarding employees? I've tried hiring 3 different but sacked them all again since they either only made 1k each delivery or even minus.

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - BP - 2012-10-21 13:25

I've been fined about a quadrillion times for various things. The latest, headlight use. Come on! I didn't know the key. Sad

So does mine they are each making just above/under 1k each delivery, which is because they need to get paid etc. When you hire an employee you can see how much they get paid.

When your drivers get more experienced, get talents (like ADR licences, less fuel consumption, etc.) they start to make more money. When you hire multiple drivers on the full game, like 5-10 with good experience and talents, you start to get maybe 5k/driver/day, which is 25-50k a day from your drivers, plus your own deliveries, which is quite good in my opinion.

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Malibu - 2012-10-21 13:40

I'm quite disappointed by the way the steeringwheel responses though.

Same.. It might be just to find the perfect setting using in-game setting and Logitech Profiler, but seems to be quite hard.. Sleep

At least the wheel support has improved significantly from the ETS.

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Tupex - 2012-10-21 14:05

ye it is hard to make perfect settings.
i got ETS too Smile

RE: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Savy - 2012-10-21 14:23

I'm thinking of buying it, but I had Euro Truck Simulator and got bored of it after a few days. What are my chances of getting bored of this if I bought it?
