That would involve changing the weather, which again involves stopping the game and restarting it.

hmm bummer, it's not possible in any way ?

Quite a long time ago, the "weather" already was changed from time to time, with the intent to make the same thing look a bit different and following from that, more interesting. Well, it was interesting at first, but it's not that big of a difference really.

If it would be done while the layouts are being changed, fair enough, but stopping the server everyday, once in the morning and once in the evening, doesn't sound very good to me.

Also, not to mention that driving on the cloudy Montana for example, for a few days straight, can gety very boring or depressing, if you want.

I do think however, that Live for Speed could get some basic dynamic weather at least, but god knows how long would that take to implent.

Maybe create some system which saves important variables like trip distance and then after 18:00 server changes weather (same for morning). BUT ... it does not change weather if there is any chase in progress (if is it will wait when something like chase_count == 0 -> no chases are in progress). If it is possible to change map it will show warning on screen, something like map will be restarted in 2 minutes (now it does not depends on active chases)). I think it is nice idea.

Restarting the server that often just for weather would be very disruptive, I reckon.

And what happens for people in different time zones. Terrible idea imo.
