Guys I have a question,

When it comes to engines my knowledge is lacking (just) a bit. So here goes, is it possible to fit a turbo on to an engine if it's a non turbocharged engine?

I have looked in to chip-tuning my Peugeot, but that would only give me 11bhp and 18Nm more, which isn't really worth the €299.

No, it's a 2 litre petrol engine with 140bhp and, out the top of my head 190Nm torque.

@Adam, you'll be amazed by the performance and ride comfort. It's spacious, luxurious, comfortable, fast and I like the look of it.
It can easily do 205kmh on the autobahn, it did not complain at all.

I was just looking into the possibilities to make it a bit more powerful. Ofcourse I could have bought the 3.0 V6, but my insurance company doesn't like that much. And they all had a lot higher milage anyway. Tongue

Yes. However, you can't just bolt on a turbo on its own. Needs plenty of other stuff too, one of which is probably to remap the ECU.

You can but would need lots of internal strengthing(or it would go bang very quickly) work to cope with the extra pressure/temperature/boost created. Uprated valves,pistons,conrods, crank makybe,forged this forged that, it can be done, and if you know how it could be reasonable, But would be pretty difficult. Also you would need a lot more pipework, an intercooler and probs lotsa customer work, unless someone has done it before.

Supercharger would also be difficult, but maybe not as difficult. I know there was one for the fez(and a whoppping 3k though) that would pop the power from 120ps to 170/190ps dependant on other mods.

Didn't watch the video but my short answer for this question would be "No". Not for a new engine like that. It won't be cheap and it could be dangerously unreliable.

I would only recommend turboing for an engine that 1. has a variation that has a turbo as stock (you could nick needed parts from that) and or 2. an old enough engine which has simple mechanics and no sophisticated stock engine management.
