You wouldn't have any problems with dents from snow piles, the snow pile would scream in agony after you're done with it.

Aha this is funny because it's true xD Phone camera? Looks amazing! (compared to mine). If yes, what phone?

I wouldn't sit here and lie now would I? Wink It is not a phone camera, it's a Nikon D90. Great camera, you can find a used one for not a large penny. Smile

If id have a proper car like that, i couldnt afford refueling it.

Trust me, if i get a job during the summer, i will eventually get rid of the corolla.

TBH, it isn't that bad. If you drive it properly it sits around 8.0L/100km.

Just dont drive it like TigR, redline 2nd gear going hagwallah on a straight road :3 #worth

Not bad my car runs around 9.2L/100km.
Check my signature for my fuel useage Smile

Corolla uses between 7-8L/100km mixed when driven properly (careful), but if you drive like Me, it will use between 8-10/100km, due to the not-so-sporty-race-shifts-and-launches.

Well. When i drive mine i can tell you it aint doing those 8.0L/100km lol

It's funny to see you guys talk about fuel consumption. We refer to it in Miles per gallon rather than Liters per KM. So 8L/100KM is about 35MPG? (Not sure my conversion is right lol). My moms truck averages less than half of that(16MPG~18L/100KM) lol and my dads Vette gets about 18MPG(~16L/100KM). However my golf and rabbit get about 38MPG~7.5L/100KM.

Out of curiousity what is your average ethanol blend, ours is mandated E10 and is killing fuel mileage in older cars

I use 95 Octane fuel with 10% ethanol, cause i like to go cheap, and my engine can run it no probs. Fuel price for 95 E10 is around 1.289-1.359/litre around the city i live.

If i was to use 98 E5, The price would be 1.339-1.439/litre depending on the day/time.

I once tried changing the fuel that i use to 98 E5, didnt notice any change in the fuel mileage (trust me, i did it on normal driving style as i just got my license)

Lol I'm doing bit over 10l/100km on my Subaru Tongue, I'm sure I could get it down to 8-9 but I don't have enough patience for that :c

We have both 98 octane E5 and 95 octane E10, on pretty much every fuel station. Some also serve E85 bioethanol.

RE: Show us your ride! - Cola - 2016-02-15 21:32

We have 92 octane E5 and 95 octane E5. Some places have 98, but no one uses it here. Diesel is E7. No E85 yet.

I usually manage around 8.5-9.5 l/100km (10-11,5 km/l - 28 mpg) in the 1.8 escort. Might as well get something with a propor engine instead of that old inefficient piece of crap. Borrowed my dads Skoda Octavia MkII 2.0 TDI (Blade, think budget Audi A4 B7/Golf mk5) which I got an average of 5,5 l/100km (18,2 km/l) on an entire tank with! Around 43 mpg according to Google.

RE: Show us your ride! - Stephen - 2016-02-16 05:03

Here we've got e10 which is 91+10% ethanol.. most old cars don't like it. We also have 'regular' e85 (usually at least 70% ethanol), 'race blend' e85 (which is always around 85%, as used in v8 supercars Biggrin) and 100 octane (98+10% ethanol). Only issue is the petrol station that sells the latter 3 are in small numbers and the ones that sell race blend are even fewer Sad

As for my fuel usage, its roughly 11-12l/100km normal driving, if i go to the track its roughly 50-60l/100km.

My record for a tank is 562km, fuel tank is 60l. the fuel gauge counts 50 so it would have been getting around 9-10l/100km, granny shifting, no boost, slow takeoffs etc lol

Well I officially listed my blue 81 Rabbit for sale. Had a few bites but nothing serious yet.

RE: Show us your ride! - Audiojack - 2016-02-19 09:02

As a person who has a really difficult time holding on to his cars, I'm going to say that you will regret selling that Rabbit... W00t

RE: Show us your ride! - Roba - 2016-02-19 19:54

It's fun to see American's waiting to get european cars for a change.. Tongue

Some *Removed* blocked me with his Alltrack while I was doing a wide-ass turn with my truck... I don't really enjoy the new Golf's myself.

You know what really stinks is that our version will not get the DSG dual clutch. Only the tiptronic and maybe if we're lucky a manual, but that seems unlikely at this point. So most of the unique alltrack features will be lost. I was really excited for it, but now I'm underwhelmed, and if I have to get tiptronic I'd rather it be in a 2015 because the car weighs less and has less usless features haha.

I know I will, but you can't really keep them all. It's crazy to think this is the start of my 6th year with it. However when your job requires you to have reliable transportation sometimes you have to give up on the fun things. I'm looking to get into a Ghia or a 356 replica in the next few years so not having a vintage car will motivate me more lol. We'll see, maybe I can save up enough for a down payment without selling the car. I have about 5k now but want to put down between 10-15 so I don't have a huge payment etc. #Adulting lol.
