Wow, that engine bay. Seems like someone has thrown a lot of "upgrades" into it more and less succesfully/Mellow I mean, I see a lot of good ideas there but the execution seems to be half-assed at best... Hopefully it's mostly functional though and not prone to, for example, catching fire or letting vital fluids pour out randomly W00t

Reminds me of Tay Tay from Mighty Car Mods. Pretty common fate for 180SX's everywhere of course.

Started to Machine polish the 180, you can see from the image there are defects below the paint which is a bit annoying but not much i can do about that.

A Pre Machine polish picture just washed, clayed and iron X'd.

I am hoping to get the Rest of the car machine polished over the next few days

Maybe at this point we can all agree that the wheels make the car, don't you think? Laugh

I thought it was a different car for a moment lmao. Still looks good with factory wheels/wheel trims.

Looking pretty sweet Makee!

Finally found time and semi-decent weather to sort out my braided brake lines and give the calipers a lick of paint after leaking brake fluid got all over them giving them a nice rust coat Tongue

I say decent weather... Had brake fluid flying everywhere in the wind but I managed haha!

Had to improvise to protect the sills which are wafer thin on the 86 aha. Any weight on them and they buckle even on the jacking points. Quite proud of the wooden blocks which are chiselled out to fit the jack stands and the chassis Tongue

I tend to use a long planks that distribute the weight along the whole sill, if there are no good sturdy support spots welded onto them. Whatever is available and does the job of course W00t The brakes look good, even if the discs look a little smol with those wheels.

The brakes as a whole are indeed a touch small, although the standard brake balance on this car is pretty good, decent sized brakes all round. lightweight car and not so much power. But I do notice that they fade fairly quickly even with greenstuff pads on...

Some 6-pot K-sport brakes will do nicely for when I add a little snail in next year Wink
