Insim Tutorials? - Cobra - 2013-03-28 22:17

Hey,

First would like to excuse me if my post is not in the right category. It concerns technology. However, was not sure to me....

now so I am since some time on Tc. I find it great like the Insim is built up. Chuck makes a damn good job and I envy him his are able.

A few days ago I have tried to come along smartly about this subject.

Though demo Insims are offered only these are not really good.

I have myself quite stupidly and stupidly searched on the Web. Unfortunately, nothing found.

Can one learn this? Is there tap for tap tutorials?

If so where?

Would be very grateful to you around help....

The same question is for Tc lights..... how it works or other funktions......

Edit.: Against sorry for my english...i´m not sure is it correct and everbody understand it.

Greatings Alex

Coding InSim Applications usually relies on the knowledge of a programming language. Java/C++/C#/Python etc.

If you know any of these languages then then the first place you should look is the LFS Programmers Forum:

https://www.lfsforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=9

If you don't know any programming languages then it's probably best to stay well clear until you have a basic level of understanding of said languages.

Here are some well known sites for teaching the basics of some programming languages:

http://www.codecademy.com (Python/Ruby/JS/PHP/HTML/CSS)
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/ (Java Specifically)

Depends. Different programming languages are good for different things. It might be worth researching what different languages are best at before diving in.

RE: Insim Tutorials? - Cobra - 2013-03-29 00:38

Ahh ok.... also i can not say i need for insim only this "language!

and for any other Funktion only the other one....

Also i can build a Insim with every language...... but not mixed?

Edit.: Omg thats looks like hardcore programmer Language...... i need to find a programmer for real money...... or do that anbody for fun?

RE: Insim Tutorials? - Pete - 2013-03-29 00:52

The language choices for InSim are Python/Java/C#/C++ really. Each language has it's own InSim library and each is capable of the same end result.

Its asked me for my Name etc.

I don't think asking for help on the LFS forum is the wisest idea.

As for the language barrier, I totally understand and wish my German was better so that I could help a little more.

There are several "unbranded" cruise InSim's available that you can modify if/when you know how to. This might be a good place to start.

Any idea as to where I can find these? Might look into setting up a little server for practice.
