RE: Assetto Corsa - Upcoming realistic PC racing simulator - SLiiDE - 2014-07-12 13:47

Should be a fairly big update this week

Quote:Hello AC followers,

gradually we are getting closer to the release candidate version of Assetto Corsa: the next update should already include some changes to the graphics engine that will allow us to test the overall compatibility, although you might not see any new effects until the new algorithms will prove to be stable. More details will follow soon.

The next update of Assetto Corsa Early Access is scheduled for 18th July and it should include the long awaited Lotus 98T. As already known, Assetto Corsa AI, utilizes the same physics model used by the player. With more than 1000 horse power and tons of downforce produced by this amazing grand prix car, the AI finds it very challenging keeping a proper racing line. The reasons will be clear to you too, when you will try staying on track while driving this unbelievably fast and “raw” racing car. We are working to improve AI interactions and hopefully we'll be able to include the Lotus 98T in next update and include AI enhancements to the sim.

A big "thank you" to all those people who join the Early Access program every day. You help us to constantly improve Assetto Corsa : Your support is amazing and we really want to thank you, so we are investing in new content, new licenses and even more importantly, new people, hiring developers able to cover strategic positions in our company that will allow us KUNOS Simulazioni and Assetto Corsa, grow stronger and more efficient and capable.

YES!

Variety in AC is what we need. I'd be happy to see the GT86 in the game, along with some other Japanese legends. And I wish they put in a Mazda MX car other than the Miata (those being the MX-3 and MX-6). Those are underrated bigtime.

RE: Assetto Corsa - Upcoming realistic PC racing simulator - SLiiDE - 2014-08-22 09:03

Its 50% off until 10AM Monday.

Also, there's a fairly large update scheduled for August 29th.

How realistic is it? Compared too LFS.

RE: Assetto Corsa - Upcoming realistic PC racing simulator - Ras - 2014-08-22 13:23

It's different but still pretty realistic. If you don't mind trying something else than LFS physics, which still feels nice, then give it a try.

Got in Blackwood Biggrin

Me, Tigr and Pete were racing on blackwood last night. Was really fun Biggrin

Might get it since it 50% off, question is if it's possible to drive with mouse?

So yes you can Dowpy Biggrin

RE: Assetto Corsa - Upcoming realistic PC racing simulator - Pete - 2014-08-23 14:56

The Blackwood mod is really well done. It was great fun with the GT3s.

If you haven't already got AC and you like good car/track mods, it's worth it now it's 50% off.

What still bothers me is the lack of hope anything getting better. Basically everthing that bothered me 6 months ago is still there unchanged. There is no progress on the actual game, but only modelling more and more cars.

I didn't have to change my driving style at all in the switch from LFS to AC if that's what you mean.

And this is why I'm still not a "regular" on AC.

First of all, Very very nice they added the Mercedes I've been waiting for that in a long time and im in love with this car.

They probably didn't spend much time on the sound seen as they are in the process of switching sound engine.

Physics are still shite. Also FFB doesn't feel any better as they claim they have changed it.

RE: Assetto Corsa - Upcoming realistic PC racing simulator - Goofy - 2014-09-05 18:15

Just one question: Is it worth 35 euros? Tongue
