technically , dogs have the potential to kill, they're hairy and make loud noises that scare the crap out of you. Yet we still call them cute and even accept them into our family homes!

Fair point however dogs do not have 8 legs and are able to and for the most part are trained up to avoid such things. (Not saying spider can't be tamed however it is probably a lot less likely)

I really like tarantulas, they're not too fast and don't try to escape you all the time. I had one on my hand and it crawled up my arm, I must admit it was quite a weird experience but nevertheless, it was the friendliest spider I've ever met! Tongue

I wouldnt be to sure on that Connor, the Tarantulas i own are docile,slow and tame. There are some T's that are lightningly fast and you can not catch them (The Goliath Tarantula can run as fast as a human), The Avic Species are also fast, as with most Tarantulas they can run pretty darn fast, specially when provoked, in region of 8-15 mph they can run at.
