"Police" font - Dan - 2013-07-20 21:39

Hi all,

I'm looking for an appropriate font to use for a few skins I'm creating. I'm looking for the "police" font (or something near enough) located on the Met Police's vehicles. Few links are as follows, and any help is appreciated.

Cheers!

I have been told (by someone from here i believe) that Eurostile Bold is the font used on police vehicles.

Since then, i've used that when doing skins.

Looks pretty close, if not the same.

Thanks a lot, Ras.

The fonts we use on our skins are Eurostile.

It's the closest by far.

I'll give you a little insight too. All of the banners for our events use Eurostile:

Looking at it now, I suppose it does look reasonably the same.

The font on the sides (with the grey background) is pretty much universally some variant of Eurostile.

The other fonts very by force, but are mostly Transport or some variant/clone of Helvetica. Use of Eurostile for anything but the half-battenburg sides is quite rare.

Looking at the photos, only the font on the side is Eurostile, the others are Transport/Helvetica.
