Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-22 17:39

I posted about this yesterday, and around a month or two ago, and still none of the admins seem to want to reply to me, rather upsetting to be fair.
But anyways I'm still unable to even find the server on the lists when in game, or even connect directly, it's as if it doesn't exist, any help will be appreciated massively Thumbup

Also apologies for dupe thread.

Moved to Help Requests & Technical Support as I think it may be the best place for this. I will remove your original thread also.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-24 01:22

I've posted multiple threads over the period of a month now, on my issue, and I thank those who have offered help, it's muchly appreciated, but I am kinda sick of sitting around waiting for someone of a higher authority to contact me, let me know ASAP?

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Savy - 2013-11-24 01:41

I'm not too sure there is much we can do, are you able to connect to Cargame.nl S1 or S2 or maybe the [RC] Aston server?

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Luke - 2013-11-24 10:35

Do you mind trying to get a screenshot of your display server list, not bothered about the servers but the settings you have.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-24 12:58

In reply to Savy, yes I can connect to all of those servers, it just seems rather odd that yours is the only one I cannot locate let alone connect to, I have attached a screenshot below of my server list, in alphabetical sorting to prove that it does not appear, thanks for the quick replies.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Frozen - 2013-11-24 13:06

"No Reply : 10 ". TC isnt the only server you cannot reach.

Can you post a picture of the server list where RC or cargame appears?

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-24 13:16

Here's the screenshot: http://s23.postimg.org/5fs0z6f4r/Untitled.png
Note the No Reply is now at 5.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Orange™ - 2013-11-24 19:49

Just an idea so it does work on your LFS, just search for some one that is online at TC server, search their username, then join TC, just so you know it does exists.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Pete - 2013-11-25 02:27

That won't help Orange.

I'm not sure there's anything we can do to solve this issue, it may be a routing issue. We'll take a look into it though.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Chuck - 2013-11-25 07:03

The no-reply number is quite normal as there are always misconfigured servers.
Can you access our Teamspeak?

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Pete - 2013-11-25 15:06

(ts.city-driving.co.uk)

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Barney - 2013-11-25 18:03

not sure if this might be the same or a related issue,
but today(and also a week or so ago) a bunch of people timed out while another bunch could normally remain on the server.
after that the servers didnt show up in my serverlist and ts.city-driving.co.uk didnt reply aswell,
while forum and http://forum.city-driving.co.uk/misc.php?page=serverstats were woking fine.
about 10min later everything was fine...

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-25 18:04

Just attempted to load that link, and it's pretty much just continuously loading until it fails to connect "unable to connect", apologies if I'm being rather vague, not particularly educated on this side of networking...

Also replying to "Barney's" post, that is pretty much my problem, forums and everything works fine, but the main servers, and team speak does not.

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Barney - 2013-11-25 18:21

so i guess you have ts and dedicated on the same sever?! although i can acces ts.city-driving atm, there are still some timeouts during the way. try that mootyhaka.

€dit: also as u can see from the traceroute i normally have a ping from about 30. on the tc servers its about 130 to 150... no massive lags, but recognizable and not normal Smile

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - TheMootyhaka - 2013-11-25 18:30

Sorry, being a noob again, what am I doing with that? Laugh

RE: Server literally invisible, even via direct connect - Barney - 2013-11-25 18:37

sry, could have mentioned right away.
windows button+r (execute), type "cmd" then type: "tracert 91.121.86.46"
and hit enter. wait until finished, type: "tracert 108.162.192.94"
then u can rightclick, mark, and mark with left mouse button to copy and paste it here.(or make a screenshot)

edit:
today it seems fine for me
Code:
1     6 ms     7 ms     7 ms  83-169-160-74-isp.superkabel.de [83.169.160.74]
7    19 ms    23 ms    20 ms  88-134-203-114-dynip.superkabel.de [88.134.203.114]
8    18 ms     *       40 ms  decix.routers.ovh.net [80.81.192.209]

12    26 ms    26 ms    25 ms  ks27500.kimsufi.com [91.121.86.46]

ping on server schows 30 to 40 aswell. dont want to step on anyones toes, just in case u didnt know:
internet is full of complaints about ovh's terrible (ddos) protection...
wich was causing the lags for me. as u see in my previous tracerout thees entries:
12 123 ms 123 ms 122 ms vac2-2-n7.fr.eu [91.121.215.109]
13 124 ms 122 ms 122 ms vac2-3-n7.qc.ca [91.121.215.111]

are missing today. and that vac technology is their protection.
see also http://www.ovh.co.uk/anti-ddos/
maybe it helps to reconfigure the security settings. but this is where my little knowledge ends Smile

seems many others had issues with bt.net. just cant reach certain sites. although hardware(router and pc) was working fine at another place. hints to solve problems were mostly dns flush or/and open dns but didnt work. guess you have to read alot and ask for help here: http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Speed-Connection-Issues/bd-p/BBinHome
