Average Speed Stat

As the title suggests, I think it would be cool to have an overall average speed stat, and on the statistics section of the forum a top 20 highest/lowest speeds

I like it, but people who are on the servers for fun, and don't drive a lot (like Ice), would probably be on the top 20 slowest people.
So should only be a top 20 fastest people

There's just 1 slight problem. The list can be easily abused when Kyoto is online..

In short, won't be an accurate stat, therefore pointless.

Not only that, your not always driving round. Like chilling at drifters having a local.
If your a cop waiting for a speeder. I just don't think it would work really

Surely that would be a good thing? you could grasp who afk's the most from the stat, nobody said the statistic means who is the fastest it means who drives the most?

Hes talking about the average speed. You would need to have at least a 10 hour flight to make this have an impact on the average.
Also I don't see much point in it. The "slowest" 1000 would have a Zero, and the fastest something like 30kph. But once you got >1,000km on our servers, you cant do anything anymore about the average.

Thats true, someone with thousands of kms will just get stuck at what they have. I can't see it being very competitive as it will basically just be the new members who just did a run on the AB.

Well, what if it isn't a stat that is locked on the total ammount of playtime. What if it resets on everytime the Odo-counter gets reset (either spectate, leaving server, pitting outside of safezone), and shows the actual avarage speed on the current Odo?

It will then just show the fastest driver on the server, at that very moment. Instead of fastest driver all time.

It should probably only count while the standstill timer isn't active.
That would give a much more accurate driving average, whereas knowing about idle time is pretty useless and would skew admins' stats.

Or, take your total mileage, take your total playtime, do some math, and you end up with your average speed without any insim stuff.
