They're even preparing a "slimmed-down" version of Windows to be installed in hardware like a Raspberry Pi2. That's how much optimized it became.

Like W7 was to XP older machines will have less trouble running a more recent version of Windows. Good job Microsoft.

Well you have to subscribe or something, and then letter you get an email and a release date. Also you have to do it fast because it's for free now but it wont stay for free

You click it then it reserves your copy of Windows 10 for you. Then on the 28th of July it will start downloading and upgrading your system.

You have 1 full year *after* the official release date to claim your free upgrade. So, there is no actual need to rush things.

You need to have windows 7 or 8.1. I suggest people start upgrading to 8.1 if you already haven't (directed at Windows 8 users).
