Auto-Spec for wrong siders

Following the mass amount of wrong siding, I think that something has to change to "crowd control" and reduce this annoying habit.

Suggestion? Well, simple. Place a wrong way checker so that whenever someone tries to take the red line, he gets spectated automatically.

I believe that should reduce the wrong siding by quite a bit without having to make any changes to layouts or without having an admin to monitor and issue UF1s.

Good idea, however in chases, if you have been P.I.T.ed it may be impossible to stay on your side, or if you are speeding, it may be easier to WW temporarily to avoid a crash - if going round a blind corner to find a slow or stationary vehicle. Also, as I drive a little bit of MRT, there is often times where a small bit of oversteer or lapse of concentration, and a lack of reverse means I have to WW, just for a few metres - obviously checking the map first. This is a good idea, but perhaps and instant spec would be too harsh. Perhaps a spec from a certain length of time of wrong siding, or frequent offences in a short time?

I think having defined danger zones and implementing ww protection only in these zones may help. Additional leeway for those that are in a chase might help.

Dont forget that emergency vehicles have to drive backwards as well when a winch isnt available when towing someone..

This is technically and gameplay-wise a horror. There are just a few checkers on Autobahn and people recurrently complain about them not working well. But it's not the logic that is wrong, it's the network and latencies that lets them fail.
Plus, there are legit reason to go on the wrong side.

I dont like the idea. But maybe a variation of it:

Dont Autospec for WW in this areas. Just a warning text: "Please dont WRONG WAY here" or something like that. Maybe that helps in some cases.

The best way to solve this issue is for people to start realising that wrong side driving is in fact against the server rules. Admins are already taking a tougher stance on it so if you see it, you are well within your rights to report it to an admin via !report or as a forum user report.

Driving on the wrong side is tolerated for short periods of time and as long nobody else gets disturbed or endangered. This includes the wrong usage of one-way roads. Crashes due to this will be treated as ramming.

If you cause an accident or force another user to react whilst you are driving on the wrong side of the road, this counts as being 'disturbed or endangered'. Check the map before wrongsiding, or err on the side of caution and don't do it whether you're in a chase or not.

That's what some people don't get. They think just because they are in a chase they can go and ram everyone out of the road, or go WW when there is a road full of cars. Or just those who don't care/never read the rules do.

I personally only consider "intentional WW" to those who f.e. had to avoid someone doing a U-Turn, braking abruptly, or missed a brake zone and went WW because they couldn't go on the correct side, or to avoid an imminent crash. Other than that, those who just WW because they don't care grind my gears. Again, some people don't bother checking the minimap before WW on a chase, thinking other cars will become Helicopters and take-off.
