Hi

It happend quite a few times now, since the last update with the trip-safe, it happens to me quite often that I pit in a safezone (not even close to the walls) with a nice trip (yesterday, 150km's. This afternoon 98, this evening twice (!) after 20km's), and leave the pit with nothing, as if I've just pitted outside of a safezone.

What is going on here? Chuck, please stay serious here, systems can be caused by human errors, right?

This is the pit when I lost my KM's, after it I had a chase with Jedi, hence the 14km I was talking about. Before the chase, my km's got resetted, while I'm clearly in the savezone:

Happened to me 3 times since the trip safe system with pretty high km's.. Once I had 150~kms and I was staying on Safe Zone 2 for quite a while (in the middle) and when I pitted in I lost all kms, same thing was with once I had 40kms btw, didn't even notice it..

I was parked there over 4 seconds, as I had a talk with Cal right before it. Didn't know if he was going to pit or continue the conversation, so lagg wouldn't be it.

If im right, the safezone already started right after those sponsor-things?!

Safezone should be set to end at the white line IIRC.

Well, I remember I read somewhere, that you should always check if you're in a safezone before pitting to avoid this happening. It was stated somewhere, but I can't remember where.

I don't see why people worry about kms now? since they don't do anything important anymore, u still earn the same out of bonus with any km now

EDIT: Except, you get a tiny bit more if you continue because of the 10% of pot thing.

The sponsor barriers were not there when the SZ was designed. The original barriers may have been closer to the actual zone, but one thing is for sure: Nobody moved the safezone after it was created for the first time.

Chuck, how come that this never happend before the new update? Infact, before the new layout came on, it had exactly this entrance, right? And we didn't have the problem then..

Once you get up in the higher KM range, the bonus gets pretty nice to, and if you lose alot of km's on 1 day.. its pretty frustrating.

How hard can it be to check if you're really in a SF or not.

Well, enough people had complained about a similar problem in the past, which is why we made the "Check you're in a SZ first" recommendation in the first place.

One of the times you complained about it today, I checked the replay to see what was up. Your car had initially skated half on top of one of the walls, which will most likely count as outside the zone. You were only for sure inside the zone for ~1 second (very approximately) before pitting, so that case could very well have been caused by lag.
