LFS acting up
Hi,
So recently, when playing LFS in fullscreen, I've noticed that it minimizes itself for no reason, and brings itself back to the desktop. When i click on lfs again, i need to push all triggers/axis on my xbox controller, for it to work right again. Started playing it today in just windowed mode, now it doesn't minimize itself, but the same happens with the controller. Either 1 of the axis or triggers stay on without being pressed, and i need to push and move all again for it to work. This seems to happen randomly every 5 mins. If anyone understands that, got any ideas? This is highly annoying. Thanks in advance PS: Played MW2 for at least 30 mins with no problem -Chris |

Close all other apps in background and try again.

RE: LFS acting up
This is an axis calibration issue.
Make sure that your controller is connected before LFS starts for the first time every time you turn on your PC. If the problem persists, open LFS, press all triggers and buttons, close LFS via the Exit button, not the 'x' and then restart LFS once again, the problem 'should' be gone. Controller calibration issues usually arise when LFS loses focus to another program, bear that in mind. The reason your game will be minimising is because a background application has stolen focus, a virus checker or Windows update. Be sure to close/suspend them. |

RE: LFS acting up
Also, make sure you lock the axes in LFS control settings after you've calibrated. LFS will then remember the calibration no matter how many times it loses focus.

RE: LFS acting up
Might be helpful to see what's actually running in background.
Run that: http://live.sysinternals.com/procexp.exe (source http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysin...s/bb896653 ) Hit File->Save As. Show us the content of that file via http://pastebin.com/ |

RE: LFS acting up
95 Processes. Nice...
Difficult to see what's causing the minimising from that snapshot alone unless Chuck can enlighten us all. |

RE: LFS acting up
Try closing IM's, Skype, things that "want your attention" sometimes. Skype or MSN used to minimize my LFS from time to time when I get messages.

RE: LFS acting up
Awesome, totally appreciate the effort put into that post. Will get onto that ASAP, and will update the thread. Norton sucks? Keeps my computer clean. AV software is a highly debatable subject, I'll stick with Norton til the licence runs out.
With regards to the, "intel integrated graphics stuff - as you seem to have a Radeon card, you may not need this running". My laptop apparently has both integrated and a Radeon Card. Although, to be honest, I have no idea which 1 it uses or how to set it to use the Radeon only. I'm only guessing by my crap fps rates on LFS it's the inte graphics it always uses. Anywhos, thanks for the help so far Will update |
