Certainly easier to destroy the pick-up with 840HP 4WD, also fun and easy to drift with the RWD

Ok so I made a special ibishu I'll release when home, I get only for this forum. ATS Cups and a slight widebody should work with the standard one as addons but I'll make it a second car.

Sort of a bump here, but has anyone tried the level editor? You can create more cars to crash into! Press F11 while in windowed mode, then look for your pickup, press CTRL + 1 (for free camera) and J to pause physics. There's the beamng logo at the center of your truck and you can click it and then hold shift and drag to create another copy. Press F11 to go back into the game, Shift+C to lock the camera, and J to unpause physics. Tab will let you switch between cars and you can have some fun Alt+Down arrow slows down time, up arrow speeds back up to normal, left and right arrow scroll through speeds.

You can also spawn one by f11 then on the right toolbar. Click level. Then BeamNG. Then BeamNG Vehicle badabing badaboom

Has anyone tried out the new patch? The cars drive A LOT BETTER, especially the Civetta Bolide (Lotus Esprit/Lancia Stratos-like car)
I also finally solved my stuttering issue, my graphics card always maxes out on this game, so I turned some of the details down a few notches, now I get 90% maximum usage on my GPU instead of a constant 99% according to MSI Afterburner. this should be enough until I get a new card, this one can barely handle my monitor on high settings on any game in general. |

And also unlocks a part of the forum to download mods (maps,cars,etc). I would try the techdemo first and if you like it buy the alpha, but don't expect too much activities apart from driving around and crashing your car. |

Based on the videos, they still concentrate too much on the crash physics.
Lets hope the implement some better driving physics as well as focusing on getting the game playable on less porwerful machines. |

IMO, they still focus too much on crash physics instead of making the game playable on less powerful machines. This is preventing me, a paying customer, from enjoying the game at the moment. I know its still in ALPHA stage but then again.

It's a pretty regular development cycle though. First comes the content and features, then some bug fixing and polishing, and only after that optimising the engine when it's getting near completion (and after that some more bug fixing and polishing.)
What they're doing right now is more like giving an insight to fans of the project than putting out a full on commercial product, while also allowing people a meaningful way to support the project by paying for the sneak peek dev versions. It's a lot better and more gratifying than just asking for money and support with nothing in exchange for the time being. |
