Does the "do not edit" only count for your own skins or why did you blatanly rip the chevrons from my rb4 police skin?

Show some respect towards other peoples work, otherwise there would be no skins for you to copy. And no you didn't even edit the color of those chevrons. Also no need for the credits as you never had any permissions to begin with. |

RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue.
It seems that you have basically copy and pasted parts of your skin from an existing skin (i.e. the top batternburg and chevrons).
You have to be aware that you haven't asked permission from the creator which means you don't have permission to use them. Please be aware that the skin you have used for the batternburg and chevrons are part of our [TC]s Public Skin Pack and it is clearly marked with "DO NOT EDIT". Unless you get expressed permission from Pipa to continue using the skins then you would have to remove the current skins and re-do the parts stated above. Josh. |

So you like me to remove the REAR chevrons? As for the batternburg I did that all myself and added the colours from the rear chevs to it.. Is this right Pipa would you like me to remove the rear part of my skin? |

And if you did the batternburg yourself then how come your cuts are 100% identical to mine. http://pipa.lima-city.de/kits/skin2.gif |

Is this right Pipa would you like me to remove the rear part of my skin? With the batten burg I just cut around the cars doors & follow the wire frame line and the hub cap just like anyone else would.. All emergency vehicles are going to look somewhat similar Jesus. Just because the batternburg is a similar size that means nothing as well, its just boxes?!. All I took from your skin was the back chevs and that is all I'm willing to remove. Everything else took me about 3-4 hours to do. Also where in the TC rules does it say I'm not allowed to? I'm pretty sure its just a general skinning thing that's frowned upon to edit someone's skin. |

(2013-11-07 15:37)Bez Wrote: Just because the batternburg is a similar size that means nothing as well, its just boxes?!. If you had done the batternburg yourself you would know that it takes quite a lot of work to do it properly, especially the cuts. And even if we would try to do similar cuts, they would never be 100% similar. It takes trial and error to get it right and especially on the RB4 there are things that will change along the skin: 1. The width will vary. Most cuts might look the same, but some are smaller while others are wider. 2. I won't always precisely cut along the wireframe, sometimes below sometimes above. 3. I often scrap parts of it and completely redo them Example: Elmo and myself basicly trying the same thing. Fades from my skin to Elmos And then comparing yours to mine. Fades from your skin to mine The last skin you did for the FXO showed similar differences as the one i did comparing Elmos and my own skin. Just this one is an exact copy. Call me getting "hot over nothing", but if you claim other peoples work as your own then i find that pretty disrespectful. |

Elmo's is just a lot thicker? Point? Before I refined it with the Polygon tool again because I had anti-aliasing deselected. After I refined it with the Polygon tool with anti-aliasing selected now. You need to learn to chill out. As said before most cop skins, meds ect are going to look somewhat similar if you cant follow a line with a 3-4 pixel difference then you have a problem.. |

I have never seen one skin being the exact copy of another and especially since you already stole other parts of the skin. Also once i have the cuts making them smaller or wider takes 5 seconds, so i am not sure what you want to proove there. I'm done as i have made my point, what you can use and what not is between you and TC Managment as it is basicly their skin. |

I should probably thank you for not copying those bits aswell?
Not sure what your point there is, apart from being rude. |
